I finally have the chicken! Zagan gave me a bowl of chopped chicken and other things he said is good for Diego. When I went inside the room he was resting in, he finally lifted his head. "Hey, friend," I smiled, rushing to him and pat his head.

His head lifted up at the smell of the chicken, making me smile and feed him a piece of chicken. "I need you to get up so you get back strong. You may be a puppy still and that gives me enough faith that you can get up and gain your strength again," I said, making a trail on the floor.

I helped him off the table then sat at the end of the trail so he can make his way to me. "Diego, get up and walk," I whispered, staring at him. "I know you can do it, friend," I encouraged.

He started off scooting while enjoying his food then he stood up and wobbled. "Yes, keep going," I encouraged some more. He wobbled then he began getting use to walking around. "Awn, you look like the day I found you, Diego," I giggled, watching him look at me then let out a small bark.

I raised my hands and let out a giggle. "Excuse me," I snickered. I held my arms opened, waiting for him to make his way to me. He still had food to go on the trail, but he moved by them and tried to run to me.

"I'm so proud of you, Diego," I giggled lifting him up then pulled him to me. "You will grow to be a strong guard, Diego. I see you will never give up on me," I hummed.

"My tears have fell for you and my hands has been tainted by your blood. God has created you for a reason. Would you protect me as I love and care for you?" I asked him, knowing he cannot answer me but there is something about Diego.

I think he understands me. How I know? He just answered my question with a bark. He only barks when someone tries to take me from him or when I talk to him. I wrapped my arms around him and let out a sigh. "Let's go clean you up," I giggled, happy to see my best friend is alive and healthy.

I opened the door to leave the room only to see Zagan at the door with bags. "Since I see how important it is to you, I got some things for him," he sigh, holding up a bag. "Really? Thank you," I blushed, picking up Diego and held him up.

"He's very thankful also. I can go find a river to wash him so he wouldn't dirty your rooms," I hummed, walking by him only for him to wrap his arms around me. "No, you can use the garden," he mumbled then snapped his fingers.

Zariya came from a room then placed her hands on her hips. "I'm getting tired of you calling me by snapping your crooked ass fingers," she snapped then smiled to me. "Oh, can you help me bathe Diego? Please?" I pout, looking at her with pouted lips.

"Yeah, yeah. I don't think I have a choice," she huffed. "You don't-" I started, only for her to place her finger against her lips. "I was joking, sweet pea. Come on," she giggled, carefully picking up Diego.

We went out back and I looked to the sky and smiled. I saw Zariya stand next to me and look up with me. "That's a long fall and hitting Earth is very... different instead going straight below," she said, making me frown and turn my body to her.

"Are you an angel?" I gasped, clutching my hands together. "No, I'm more of a fallen angel," she hesitantly said while looking at me as if I was going to judge her. "That's alright. There are some things I've read in the Bible that I didn't agree with either," I replied.

She squinted her eyes and tilted my head all over the place. "What are you? An angel would have tried to send me to hell by now. Or have God bring his warriors to send me to my destined place," she rambled.

"Why would I-" I giggled then saw the confusion on her face, seeing that she is very much serious about this. "How can I be an angel?" I whispered, placing Diego down on the grass. "You're mixed with something, Malak. Pure angels would have vanished me away out of their natural instinct," she informed me while starting the water.

"But I've prayed to Him," I frowned. "He saved Diego twice," I whispered. "Or did you save him?" She asked, making me look down at Diego. "God answers all of his angels, guardian angels, and warriors. I sense the pureness in you but by your reaction, something else has been hidden in you. Maybe that's why your soul is tied to him," she mumbled, causing me to cough and stare at her.

My soul tied to his? Soul ties. I've read that before! "I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life with Zagan?" I blushed. "And he is no angel, sweet pea. He sins," she whispered, making me blush as I remember reading variety things about different demons and sins.

"I still will not judge," I whispered, feeling flushed. "You sure about that, angel?" Zagan said right behind me, making turn around and look at him. "Of course. We're not all perfect, right?" I smiled, glancing to his lips.

"Can't angels tell if someone is an angel or demon?" I asked, grabbing the water hose. "I do not know if someone-" I panicked. "Am I going to hell?" I whispered, spraying the water on Diego. He was having the fun of his life while I tried to process everything. "I have done no wrong. Why does He ignore me?" I questioned, feeling this new feeling I've never felt before.

Zagan stood in front of me along with Zariya. "I don't believe people are evil, yet I've turned them away from wrong. What could I have possibly done for God to ignore me? Am I not praying enough? Did He turn his back to me? Was I in heaven and have been kicked out? What did I do to deserve this?" I questioned, getting louder by the second.

Diego's whimpering made me look down and see him backing away from me. "Diego? What's wrong, friend?" I asked, squatting down and pat his head. "Did I scare you? I'm sorry," I whispered, scratching behind his ear.

"Well, that explains everything," Zariya said as Zagan looked at me with a smile. "What? And why is Zagan staring at me like that?"
