"After reading to the children, they were all asleep and in peace. "Malak?" Zagan whispered. "A little help?" He lowly chuckled, making me snicker and help get some of the children off of him. "Let's let them sleep," I whispered, but before I could leave, I spent a good hour, placing kisses on all of them.
Yes, I've done this every time I've read to them, and I will continue to do so. "Jehovah, you can stop spying on me," I said as I approached Zariya. "I wasn't spying. Can we-" he started, only for me to quickly turn around then fold my arms.
"Do not worry. I am seeing everyone one more time before I leave again," I said, causing many of our children to stop what they were doing and turn to us. "Again? I thought you said you were bringing her back?" I heard my son mumble, making me quickly look at him.
"Jesus," I said, only for him to glare at his father then exit the main part of the kingdom. I appeared in front of him, making him stop in his tracks. "Mom-" he started but I folded my arms and shook my head. "I've taught you better than that. When I call you, you do not ignore me. Understand?" I frowned, showing him the disappointment.
He bowed his head and grabbed my hands. "I'm sorry, I just- dad told me that you were coming back. It's hard taking care of the angels while also trying to help dad. We all missed you," he whispered. "I was gone when you left, and dad refuse to tell me. What happened?" He asked frantically.
I grabbed his hand and took a deep breath. "You're not ready for that, baby," I frowned, only for him to pull away from me. "What do you mean? I've been patient ever since I was born on earth. I've died on a cross for these people but once-" he began but I silenced him by putting my finger to my lips. "I know you're the most patient angel that I've ever created. I didn't want you to leave the world on a cross. I wanted your death to be peaceful as you died for all of those sins and your father was truly angry how they killed you. I wanted to come to you, but I had no say in it," I whispered.
"What do you mean you had no say, mom?" He asked as I wiped the tears from his face. "As much as your father was angry at the fact that you died on a cross, he still allowed it to happen. I cannot debate with him and win," I smiled, leaning on my toes to kiss his cheeks. "Why not? You are his equal," he frowned.
I let out a sigh and pulled him down into a hug. "You're more of his equal than me, my son," I whispered in his ear then pulled away. "I'll try to visit you, but you're stuck up here until it's time for you to fight Lucifer. You will treat and respect your father the same way as before. Understand?" I asked, gripping his jaw. "Yes, ma'am," he mumbled.
He got on his knees and wrapped his arms around me. "Stay for the night. Please?" He begged, making me sigh and rub his head. "I'll try," I mumbled. "Now stand up. The last time you've cried like this was the time you knew you were coming home," I smiled, helping him stand.
He went to say something but some of the new coming angels immediately came to him. "I'll try," I assured, leaving him to talk to them. I approached Jehovah and grabbed him by his robe. "You didn't tell our son you banished me?" I snapped lowly, watching his eyes widen.
I let him go then took a deep breath. "I'm staying for the night," I said, watching him smile and nod his head. "With my husband in the same room," I added in, watching his smile fall. "Very well," he mumbled, glancing to Zagan. "Zariya, I will you send you back so you can rest and watch over Diego," I mumbled.
"Are you sure, sis?" She asked, causing me to nod and grab Zagan's hand. "Alright," she mumbled as I feel her approach me. "Let me know everything when you get back," she smiled then kissed my cheek. "Of course. Khalil, make sure your sister gets home safely," I ordered.
I looked to Jehovah, motioning him to show me where we will be sleeping for tonight. "How about a nice bath and long massage once we settle into our room?" Zagan asked. "I will bathe but I would like to come back out to spend time with everyone. Is that okay with you?" I asked, earning his cute smile. "Of course, it is, love," he mumbled.
Of course, I had to blush from a simple agreement. Well, it was more because he called me 'love'. "You both will sleep here," Jehovah said, starring at Zagan. "Thank you," he mumbled, holding his hand out towards Jehovah.
"No problem," he mumbled, shaking his hand. I heard a weird crack, making me look at the two then their hands. "We would like to rest now. Drake, go back to the main entrance so you can show Khalil where we are sleeping. Please and thank you," I said, causing him to bow and wait for Jehovah to leave.
Once they did leave, Zagan immediately expressed how much damage my ex-husband did to his hand. "I think he broke every single bone," he mumbled in pain. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Let me heal you," I rushed, grabbing his hand and covered it with both of my hands. "It's alright. I'll let him do it again if I get to be this close to you," he flirts, causing me to look up and realize how close we are.
"You're such a flirt! Let's bathe so I can go back to being with the angels," I hummed.
