Zagan's POV
I sat at the bar, fully dressed in a suit, waiting for the girls to come back from shopping. I chose to do something luxurious, but our next date will be something comfortable and relaxing. I'm planning all this before we have to go to this dinner.
I can tell it's been stressing her out, so I want her to be as relaxed as possible. I texted Zariya the details during the shopping, so she knows what time to bring her back.
"I can never trust her to do shit on time," I grumbled, seeing they're fifteen minutes late. Those fifteen minutes were supposed to be spent on her getting dressed for our date. The door opened, making me stand up and prepare to go off on Zariya but Malak came in with a beautiful latex dress with a red lace over it.
She has her in heels... "Wow, you look amazing, Malak," I stumbled, walking towards her. "Thank you. You look handsome yourself," she giggled. Her nails painted pink along with her toes, making me step back and take her hand.
I made her do a small twirl, earning a low whistle from me. "Wow," I breathed, placing a kiss on her hand. "Tick-Tock, lover boy," Zariya laughed. "Right, uh," I stumbled, holding my arm out for her.
Malak happily placed her arm in its right place. I went to the door, only for Khalil to quickly open it. "No rush, Khalil. But you are doing better," Malak giggled. I glanced to her, wondering what that's about. "I've been teaching them while we were shopping. Oh, which reminds me! I can't wait to show you what I bought," she exclaimed, looking excited as ever.
Drake held the door open for us while Malak paused from getting in the car. "I'm wearing one under this dress now," she giggled then got into the car. I smirked and got in behind her, admiring how bold she's become.
"You look really handsome in this suit, Zagan," she complimented, making me smile and wrap my arm around her shoulder. "Thank you, beautiful," I smirked, enjoying the ride to the restaurant.
Once we made it there, her door was opened then mine. "Thank you," she mumbled while I nod to Drake. I went around and wrapped my arm around Malak's waist. "Look at you, showing off," I chuckled in her ear as we entered the restaurant. "What do you mean?" She cutely asked.
"I mean that you are showing off how good you look. No one compares to you, angel," I said into her ear. She began blushing then tilted her head up. "Of course, no one compares to me, baby. I'm Goddess," she smiled then greeted the hostess while I held my mouth open.
Bold and confident. I love it! "I have a reservation under Zagan," I told him, causing him to nod and guide us to a secluded area. "We're not dining with the others?" She asked, only for us to step on an elevator. "Of course not, Malak. We're going to the top," I said, pulling her closer to me.
The doors opened and she immediately gasped. "Zagan," she mumbled, pulling me off and to the edge of the building. "The city is so beautiful," she mumbled, allowing me to wrap my arms around her waist.
"We will have a chance to bask in the view but let's get to our table," I chuckled, turning her around and see Khalil and Drake standing at a table. They pulled our chairs out for us and I went to go off on Drake, but Malak stopped me. "Take a seat, Zagan. It's their job to do since you are my husband now," she huffed.
I sat down and stared at her. "Malak, how do marriages work in heaven?" I asked, watching her look up at me. "Well, Jehovah only declared me as his wife, and we made this universe," she shrugged.
Drake let out a scoff, making me glance to her. "Drake, you do not give input," Malak said then turned to me. "Well, we do it a little differently. And no, it's not what normal people do. It's uh," I trailed off, only for her to let out a giggle. "I know what the demons do when they have wedding ceremonies. Would you like to do that?" She asked, causing me to glance up to her.
"You've never seen me like that, angel. I would like to keep it that way," I frowned, watching her eyes turn that bluish grey color. "Baby, I am everything. I may look different but part of me is you. You're made in our- my image," she smiled, biting her lip.
I sat back as a waiter brought us my wine. "Thank you," Malak smiled then grabbed her glass. "We can do it however you would like, my love," she said then let out a hum while taking a sip from the wine. "This tastes like yours," she mumbled, making me smile and look to the waiter.
"That's because it is mine, angel. What would you like to eat?" I asked, scamming through the menu. "Uh, surprise me," she quickly said then stood up. She let out a hum and twirled to the edge of the building again then leaned against the glass that prevents her from falling.
"Surprise us," I quickly mumbled while standing up. I walked up to Malak and stood behind her. "Uh, Malak?" I coughed, fumbling in my pocket. "I knew you were behind me, Zagan. Enjoy the view with me," she said only for me to pull out the small box.
Fuck! I feel like I'm going to pass out. She's not going to say no, she claims you as your husband already! "Angel?" I called, getting down on a knee. She turned around with a smile then looked down at me. "What are you- oh!" She squealed, seeing the box I'm holding in my hand.
"Wait, wait. Khalil, hold my drink!" She rushed with the most beautiful smile on her face. He quickly rushed to us and grabbed the drink. "I know that we haven't been together long but seeing that we're meant together, I want to give you everything and make you the happiest woman in this universe. I want to spoil you and- and," I stumbled over my words.
I took a deep breath and met her teary eyes. "And I love you," I finally told her, seeing the tears fall down her face. "Will you do me the honor of making me the happiest future god of becoming my wife?" I laughed nervously.
She jumped on me and kissed me all over my face. "Of course, I will! Is that why your heart was beating against your chest?" She giggled as I stood up and wiped her tears away. "It was worth it," I mumbled, sliding the ring onto her finger. "I love you too, Zagan," she mumbled against my lips.
I held her tighter while getting lost in the kiss. "Now that I've placed a ring on your finger. How about we enjoy this dinner?" I asked. She nodded her head and walked in front of me to our table. Yep, I'm the luckiest.
