Back to Malak's POV

I've been high off of nature's drug for two days now. It helps get my mind off of knowing that I will not enter heaven again. Jehovah has been trying to connect to me, but I made sure to not get too comfortable and fall asleep.

He knows that he can contact me easier that way since it's less painful. The last time he contacted me, I had no control over it, and I didn't understand what was going on. I prevent everyone from the kingdom from contacting me.

"Malak?" Zariya whispered, causing me to look at her and smile. She held up Diego, showing he's been washed and groomed. "Hello, friend," I smiled, reaching for him. He happily got in my hold and licked my hand.

He nudged my hand then looked towards the garden. "I would like to stay inside, friend," I mumbled. He still nudged me, making me sigh and stand up. "What is outside?" I asked, going out back and see the flowers are wilting.

I quickly fixed them, earning a bark from Diego. "I am fine, friend. You know I don't get tired," I smiled. Something told me to glance to him, so when I did, he was staring at me while tilting his head side-to-side. "What?" I sigh, placing my hands on my hips.

He let out a bark then went towards the shed. "I can't use it to cope with how I feel?" I asked, folding my arms. He laid down in front of the door and let out a huff. "I am a goddess, Diego. It will do no harm-" I explained, but he let out a whine while looking at me.

"Damnit, Diego. You want me to stop?" I huffed, sitting next to him. He licked my bare thigh while wagging his tail. "If it makes you happy then I'll stop," I frowned, picking him up. He began barking as I look at the shed to demolish itself.

I glanced to him to see him looking at me while continuing to bark. "What is it, friend?" I asked. I put him down, watching him walk back and forth to the shed and me. "You want me to tear it down for myself and not for your happiness?" I asked, earning a bark with a tail wag.

"My own guardian giving me advice," I laughed then stared at the shed. I set it to flames, making sure that the embers do not touch the beautiful flowers. "You did enjoy the THC, friend," I hummed.

He let out a huff, proving me right. I smiled to him and waved my hand over him. He grew a little, making me smile and give him a belly rub. "It's time for you to start training yourself, friend," I whispered which made him immediately put his tongue in his mouth and stop wagging his tail.

"I'm not calling you fat!" I laughed, allowing him to resume his enjoyment of his belly rubs.

The hairs on the back of my neck suddenly stood up, making me stand up and look towards the house. I saw Zagan watching me while enjoying a glass of wine, but I frowned, feeling something more powerful than him.

"What's wrong, angel?" He asked, but Diego started barking and stood in front of me protectively. A knock at the front door made Diego run to it with the hairs on his back standing up.

"Who is it?" I whispered. "You know who I am, darling. Can you open the door so I can speak with you?" The deep voice answered. Zagan squinted his eyes then straightened his posture. "Zagan, who is that?" I asked as he cleared his throat and went to the door.

I appeared behind him as he opened the door. "Evening, Zagan," the white man spoke while entering his home. "Lucifer," Zagan mumbled and for the first time, I heard my husband voice be laced with fear.

Wait, Lucifer? Diego let out a snarled while circling him. "You must belong to Malak?" He chuckled then looked Zagan back in his eyes. "I expected a little more respect from you, Zagan. Showing such taboos already," Lucifer smiled while wrapping his hand around Zagan's neck.

I gripped his wrist and easily pried it off of him. "He is my husband, Lucifer. You should be showing him some respect," I softly whispered.

He only let out a laugh as Zagan pulled me behind him. "Your husband?" He asked. "Yes, my husband. And I am making him a god," I frowned, feeling myself become very protective over Zagan as he stared at us.

"I didn't ask if you were making him a god, sweetheart. I came here to talk to you," he smiled. "Why would I talk to you after disrespecting-" I started, but he quickly stood in front of me and tilted my head up to look at him.

"I can challenge this husband of yours and make you my wife," he said while leaning down to me. "But I would prefer for you to actually like me so we can take the throne from Jehovah," he said then placed a kiss on my cheek.

I took a step back from him, feeling my face heat up. "I would never leave Zagan. And if you hurt him, I will join Jehovah to throw you back into the core of the sun," I promised. He frowned and looked at Zagan. "Zagan would not be this successful without me. Did you know he led a mafia that killed innocent people?" He asked.

"I forgave him. I know all of the sins that Zagan has done," I scoffed then opened the door. "Oh, really? I guess you knew about him planning to kidnap you if you weren't so naive?" He asked.

I glanced to Zagan, seeing him looking away from me. "I forgive him," I simply replied. "You're so damn innocent, Malak. I will be waiting for Zagan to fuck up so I can come and sweep you off of your feet. I see that I may have a little competition after all," he chuckled then pulled me to him and smashed his lips against mine.

He was controlling my body so much that I actually enjoyed the kiss, but he didn't have what Zagan always gave. When he pulled away, I stumbled and took a deep breath. "Later, beautiful," he whispered then bowed and left Zagan's home.

I got myself together and touched my lips. "Malak?" Zariya called, making me turn around and see Zagan balding and unbalding his fist. "You enjoyed his lips against yours, did you?" He asked.

"Not as much as I do with you," I answered. Zariya carefully pulled me from Zagan and whispered how I gave him the wrong answer. "How did you know about Zagan's sins?" Zariya asked.

"I know everyone's sin, Riya. And yes, I know about you killing your sister," I answered her. She frowned and looked at the ground, but I lifted her head up and wiped her tears away. "I forgave you, Zariya. I forgave you and your brother," I smiled.

She wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled me into a tight hug. "Why?" She asked. "Jealousy lived in your heart. You're not perfect, but I know you still loved her," I answered while rubbing her back.

She pulled away and took a deep breath. Before she could say anything, Zagan moved her back while staring me in the eyes. "Fuck off," he mumbled then wrapped his hand around my throat.

My back hit the wall and his lips smashed to mine. I closed my eyes and let out a satisfied hum. "You are mine, Malak. I will waste my life to keep him from having you," he muffled in the kiss. I pulled back from the kiss while taking a deep breath.

"Zagan, I was never going to go to him," I frowned. He clenched his jaw and lifted me up in his arms. "He still put his fucking mouth on you, Malak. Now I got to remind you who will love you until death literally do us apart," he grunt then carried me to his room.

Why am I hoping that he makes love to me in this moment?
