                   *One week later*

A week had gone by since the day of the picnic and Steve had not been able to get enough of Eddie. Now that he had come out and confessed his feelings he felt more free than he had ever felt. They were like two clingey, infatuated teenagers following each other around the cabin.

Nancy and the others had called a few times to see if they wanted to hang out but the men always made up some sort of excuse. Only Robin knew the real reason why and she was so happy for her best friend. When Nancy started getting a bit worried and suspicious Robin quickly came up with something to put her mind at ease.

Eddie was currently in the middle of making breakfast when he felt Steves arms wrap around his waist and his chin rest on his shoulder. He leaned back into his boyfriend and smiled as the man kissed him on the cheek.

"I think I want to tell the others," Steve whispered in his ear, tightening his grip on Eddie. "About me. About us."

Eddie stopped what he was doing and turned in Steves arms. His eyes were red and watering and Steve panicked for a second before realising that his boyfriend had been chopping up onions. He chuckled and went to grab some paper towels to wipe the other mans tears away.

"Are you sure, Stevie? You don't have to." He murmered quietly as he let Steve wipe away the salty water on his face. It made him happy that Steve wanted to come out and tell their friends about himself and them but he wanted to make sure Steve was actually ready. That Eddie himself was actually ready because he had only ever told two people he was gay.

"I'm 100% sure, Ed! Unless you aren't ready?"

Eddie leaned in to place a soft kiss on Steves lips before pulling away and walking over to the sink to wash his hands. "I think it's about time people knew. Well, our friends anyway."

"I was also thinking maybe we let Lucas and Mike know you're still alive? Dustin said they miss you. I don't think it's fair to keep you a secret from them much longer."

Eddie exhaled heavily as he dried his hands and went back over to Steve, wrapped his arms around his neck. "I've been thinking about that too and I'd like to see the boys again. Not that I don't enjoy your company and the others but I need more variety."

Steve nodded and pulled his boyfriend into a tight hug. "When do you want to see them?"

"How about today? If you don't mind." He replied, burying his face in Steves neck.

"I'll call the boys and arrange it then! Maybe I'll go and surprise them. Dustin said the three of them were going to the arcade today so they'll be together!"

"Sounds like a plan! Shame that Will kid doesn't live here anymore. I'd still like to meet him." Eddie leaned out of the embrace, kissed Steves cheek and pushed him away. He chuckled at the fake hurt look on the mans face and turned back to making breakfast burgers.

"I'll talk to the boys about it. Right now it would be great if you could hurry up with breakfast because I am starving!"

Eddie rolled his eyes and stuck his middle finger up at him. Steve grinned before turning around, walking to the phone and dialling Hendersons number.

"Hello? Henderson residence!"

Steve chuckled quietly at how stupid Dustin sounded saying that. "Hey loser, it's me."

"Steve! Are you finally free to hang out?"

"Totally free, dude. That's why I was calling! I just spoke to Eddie and we both decided it's time to let Mike and Lucas in on the secret."
