Flashback 2 - 1979

Against the fence laid back on a lounge chair, he watched. He watched the little boy on his sixth birthday. His gaze was so eerie that the little boys friend noticed it, asking him, "Who's that man?"

With his swim trunks on, ready to dive into the pool,  "What man," the little boy replied already knowing exactly what man his friend was talking about.

"That man that keeps staring at us."

"Oh, thats dumb dumb Kev," the little boy coyly said.

Then he dove into the pool without an utter care. After his head finally bobbed back up, he heard Muh calling him to the decorated table that was poolside.

The race car birthday cake had lots of whipped vanilla frosting with bright yellow icing bordering along the edge of the circular confection. There were giggles. Lots of giggles. He couldn't contain himself. He was so happy.
