DAD!

Brooklyn's pov

It was just another day and so I started that day with coffee. Later I went out and met up with Alex and we had girl's day. It was a great day and then after I came back, I saw my brother painting.

I then just walked to our room and laid down.

He stopped painting and came into the room. He said "Where were you?"

I said "Oh I was going for a walk because it seemed like a good day out"

He said "Ok good oh and Dad's coming over"

I said with a fake smile on my face "Great!"

He said "I know you and dad don't have the best relationship but please just put a smile your my face"

I said "Yeah I can't make any promises because he won't even notice I'm there and it'll be just like when I was little, I'll always be invisible to dad, like I have been and always will"

So that time comes and Dad comes over. He sees me but of course he thinks I'm just some person who decided to come over so he says "I didn't know we had company"

I got angry and said "See Neal I told you this is what would happen and I was right, Dad thinks I'm just someone but not his own daughter"

Neal then tells Dad "Dad, this is Brooklyn, my sister, your daughter"

Of course dad forgot he even had a daughter. He literally said it out of his mouth.

Dad then says "Oh Brooke, I saw you with a girl when I was on my way here!"

I got scared and said "Shhhh!"

Neal then looks at me and says "Brooke, is there something you would like to tell me"

I said "Uh Uh Uh um no comment"

He then gets into my face and he keeps getting closer just to get me to crack but it's not going to work.

I then cracked and said "Ok Ok, I was with Alex! Also you can be really creepy when you wanna be, Stop staring at me"

Dad then says "Who's Alex?"

I said "Oh she's my best friend and an old friend of Neal's but because I did something he has forbidden me from seeing her"

Neal then says "Why didn't you tell me?"

I said "Why? Because I knew this is how you would react and you can't forbid me from seeing my best friend. Your my brother and I get it but you overreact for stupid reasons and it's always because you don't like something I did, for once can you just talk to me instead of getting so mad cause I won't speak to you if you keep acting this way"

Dad then took my side and said "She's right Neal, you guys should talk it out instead of getting mad at each other"

I said "Thanks Dad"

I actually gave him a hug which is the first hug I have ever given to him.

Neal said "Brooke, for now on I will talk to you instead of getting so mad at you"

I said "Thanks!"

Neal then left me and dad alone and I told him "Dad! Why did you and mom always see me as invisible, I just wanted to be seen and loved by you two but I just never existed and Neal is the only one who actually saw me and cared"

He told me how sorry he was and that he'll try to make it up to me.

Neal then came back out and was happy that I had a real smile on my face.

He also had a smile on his face.

I guess were just one big happy family!
