It's the worst when you get the worst news of your life. It's also worse when it's from someone you love, I didn't want to hear this today and I thought that today was going well but apparently it isn't.
When people say life is full of surprises, they mean it! You think it'll turn out good but then it doesn't and it hurts. I haven't stopped crying because of it and I don't think I'll ever stop! Anyway, I was in the kitchen making Wally something to eat since he said he was hungry and then after that I went to sit down on the couch. I did get up at one point to check on Wally but I was tired and wanted to relax, I was still sitting on the couch when my brother comes out and him and dad are telling me that they need to tell me something so we go sit at the table.
I sit down and I wondered what was so important and dad tells me that "Brooke, he's coming home with me for awhile and your gonna stay here with Wally"
I look at Neal with a you can't be serious look on my face, he says "Dad's right Brooke, I'm leaving for awhile"

I start feeling like I'm going to cry and that's when all my tears came falling from my eyes. I'm sitting there balling my eyes out.

I said *crying* "No please, don't go! I don't like feeling this way, It feels just like old times and if your taking him then take me too!"
Neal put his hands on my shoulders, looking me right in my eyes and said "You can't come Brooke, I'm sorry!"
I started crying even more and I said "No! You know I can't live without you, I won't be able to sleep or eat or do anything. I don't like living home alone, you know that!"
He said "Your not alone, you have June and Wally"
I said "I know but I need you! Neal please don't leave me!"
He grabbed his suitcase and was headed for the door and when he looked at me he had tears in his eyes, he didn't want to leave me but he had to.

After he left I fell to my knees and I was too upset to move. Wally came running out of the room and he was a little bit worried, he got on his knees and he said "Mom, Mom are you ok?"
I could barely speak, I wanted to tell him everything but I couldn't get a word out. He just hugged me and an hour later I was looking at this picture frame and it had me and Neal in it, we were being super cute siblings and just looking at it and knowing that my big brother just left to go with dad for awhile and yes I know he'll be back but just the thought of him not being here is just really sad.
