J rubbed the back of his neck, tense muscles seeming to loosen after the gentle massage. Work was becoming more and more stressful by the week. Projects were frequent, management was becoming more of a plague, and his peers' complaints grew louder. He couldn't take it anymore, hell, he just might quit. It had been a few weeks since the incident at the hospital, Ash had become insecure and vehemently swore off of showing J the scar.

Respecting their boundaries, J didn't pry after the first time as he didn't want to upset his boyfriend further. It slowly crushed him as the days went on, they'd been together for almost a year now and Ash has never been more distant. They joked less frequently, and smiled much less also. However, they still craved J's touch, snuggling ever so close to him as they slept, burying their face into his chest and sleeping soundly as a result. That was what made J feel a little bit better, but...it wouldn't bring his cunning, playful and flirtatious lover back. He wanted to know that he was still there, hiding under that veil of silence and insecurity.

Ash returned home and plopped lifelessly on the sofa in the living room. Work must've been rough today. J, who was washing his plate after ravaging leftover plantains, observed the tired doctor with a chuckle as a few snores soon echoed from the living room. After finishing his task, he washed his hands and silently approached his sleeping beauty. There they were, sleeping like they haven't rested their eyes in days.

His long eyelashes decorating the uninjured eye, mouth agape almost drooling as his broad chest rose and fell at a slowed pace. Given Ash's declined mood, he seldom took much care of his physical appearance other than the occasional hair cut, leaving his beard to grow out a bit more. Not that it matter to J, Ash was still just as handsome. He leaned down and kissed his love's forehead, and snuck out of the front door. He did have plans after all.

Ah, Willow Creek. Quite boring here really. He read online that there was a secret world located in this town, despite searching all over town he didn't find anything close to it. Well...most of town as he forgot to explore the areas near the empty starter homes. He walked through the garden behind the BFF household and through the backyard of another house before coming into contact with a strange looking tree nestled between two large oak trees.

It was littered with a colorful assortment of flowers, leaves and glowing spots along its bark. He looked at it for quite sometime, watered it twice and spoke to it as the website instructed. If this shit doesn't work, he's gonna be SOOOO pissed. After a third watering, a sim sized gap widened at the base of the stump. After snapping himself out of a state of awe, he knelt down and stepped into the opening.

Following the sounds guiding him through the darkness, J finally stepped onto something that sounded like grass. A pink light shone brightly, nearly blinding the male and causing him to stumble forward. He fell but thankfully caught himself from falling face first, leaving him on his hands and knees. And damn was it bright, 'guess you can accept that from a secret world spawned from the gap of a weird lookin tree.

After adjusting his eyes to the intensity of the light, he opened his eyes to the textbook version of a wonderland. Cherry Blossomed trees were scattered across the land the pastel pink leaves swaying with elegance, the grass was a healthy green a slight dew coating it, a sparkling stream accessible to fishing and finally a small pond in the middle of it all. J blinked in disbelief, it was gorgeous here. More than gorgeous is you asked him.

"Woah," he said to himself, "Ash would...love it here." Well, he was right. Ash absolutely loved nature and a unique scenery. On their dates, they would always beg J to go fishing with them at the lake near their house afterwards. Everytime he would say yes, reveling in the tight hug that would envelop him as his lover would gush about how he was the "bestest boyfriend ever."

J smiled to himself, picturing Ash marveling at the trees and rushing to grab his fishing rod once he spotted the pond and glittering stream. "Hm..." he slightly grimaced. "Best boyfriend ever" echoed through his mind as he observed the cherry blossom trees sway in unison. Boyfriend sounded a little too...bland for him now...they haven't been together for YEARS but in the sims? Those mere couple of months might as well be counted as years. He wanted more than title of boyfriend, he felt that he would fit into a high position...maybe husband.

J had been thinking this way for quite sometime, as he would observe Ash from a distance as they went on about their day. Their house had much natural lighting which allowed the sun to shine through one of the many windows, illuminating their lovely chestnut toned skin. This was the sim he wanted to be with for more than forever, he wanted to shower him in affections and adorn his middle finger with an expensive golden band. J observed the sunlight that peered through the Sakura leaves as he envisioned Ash standing there in a white suit under their tulip decorated wedding arch, staring back at him with a huge grin that would defeat the diamond on his finger with the gleam of his expression. The union would be celebrated with many declarations of love as they got drunk off their asses and danced the night away, uncaring of the hangover that would damage them the morning after.

J wanted- no NEEDED this fantasy to come true. And he fuckin will...if only this pond wasn't it the way, it was starting to look like an eyesore and put a damper on the scenery. His phone vibrated in his back pocket, a text from Ash. 'Babe? It's late, are you okay? You weren't outside in the hot tub or anywhere in the house :( !! Pls answer or I swear I will eat the last few cupcakes out of spite. We both know you don't want that.'

A chuckle left J as he answered with a crying face emoji and a promise to be home soon, pushing the phone back in his pocket soon after. Though Ash was distant in terms of socializing, he increasingly clingy at times. Not that it bothered the brunette, he loved walking around the house as the doctor held their strong arms around his slim waist, hugging him from behind. What ash couldn't communicate in words, he'd communicate in hugs or cuddles, it was adorable to J.

J sighed one last time, he'd better get back home to his baby. He paused to look back at the magical environment around him, he will make Ash his husband and it will be here for certain.

As he entered their home, it wasn't long before Ash's arms were thrown around him and their face was buried in the crook of his neck with the mumbled curses of "you made me worried you fuck-head." What language can leave that pretty mouth of theirs. He embraced his lover as well, kissing the back of the raven's neck and getting a good laugh at how red their ears became. J cupped Ash's face, gazing into their steel colored orbs, never tired of how his heart rate increased every single time.

It's about time to get over those lingering noncommittal feelings eh?
