I know you may hate me for this, but this is...

Harry's POV

My hands tightly gripped onto the glass cup filled with liquor, in anger.

Why was I so stupid? Why did I let her go so she could move on? I needed her more than that CEO prick.

It wasn't fair. I thought that letting her go would make things easier, it made it harder.

I've never felt this way for anybody, until I met Ivy. Hell I didn't feel this way toward my wife, the mother of my child.

What was different about her? I can't figure it out.

There's just something about her that is different from most girls I know. Something in her personality, just made her unforgettable.

God I was such a prick and hurt her so badly, so many times.

"Hey buddy, I think you've had enough," the bartender tried to pry the glass from my hand, but I smacked his hand away.

"I have a driver waiting outside for me. Just take my money and give me some god damn booze," I spat.

He raised his hands in surrender and pulled the whiskey bottle out from under the counter and refilled my cup.

"Break up?" He tried asking.
"I guess you could say that," I shrugged.

"Girls are complicated my friend," he chuckled and patted my back.

I shrugged his hand off me, "Yeah, I've come to learn that the hard way. You got anybody?"

He nodded, "My wife, Kayla. We were college sweet hearts, broke up at the end of college, dated lots of other people, and finally got back together one day."

"Kids?" I asked before taking a sip of my drink.

He chuckled, "Yeah twin girls; Paisley and Carly. Paisley is a a momma's girl, but Carly is my princess."

"Sounds like you've got yourself a good life," I fake a small smile.

"Yeah, it's got it ups, but it also had just as many downs. Relationships aren't going to be perfect all the time."

I remained silent and downed the rest of my drink.

"May I give you a word of advice?" He frowned at me.

"Sure," I shrugged.

"Don't sit around and drink over this girl. If she's got you this torn up, she must be worth fighting for."

The bartender patted my back and walked back down the counter to tend to other drunk men sitting around the bar.

I stared down at my empty glass and thought back to those beautiful blue eyes. They were so bright and cheerful whenever she was happy, but then when she cried at Dean's wedding.. it hurt me, seeing how much pain I caused her.

She deserved to be happy with Ben.

"She must be worth fighting for," the bartender's words hung around and felt like it was beating me up inside.

He was right; if I wanted Ivy, I needed to prove to her just how badly I won't stop fighting for her.

"Thanks for the advice," I hollered to the bartender and slapped down cash on the counter.
•••

"Hey Dean," I announced as soon as he picked up the phone call.

"What's up Harry? Is this an emergency?"

"No, sorry to interrupt your honeymoon, but I have a favor to ask you. I was wondering where I might be able to find Ivy."

"Oh she's down in Birmingham; she's staying with her boyfriend until we get back from Italy. Why do you want to find her, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Oh.. um, it's nothing. Forget I even called," I frowned.

"You love her, don't you?" He asked before I could hang up.

I remained silent, mainly because I didn't know what to say. What do you say in situations like this?

"Look, Harry. I saw how torn up she was after you two ended things, but I also saw how in love she was with you while you two were together. That kind of love takes a long time before it can even disappear, even just the slightest."

Once again, I remained silent.

"Don't hurt her again Harry. As weird as it is, I want you two back together."

"Thanks Dean," I spoke before quickly hanging up the phone.

I quickly hit the 'end call button' and was just about to lock my phone when I got a notification that PoisonIvy had posted a new picture.

Why did I still follow her on Instagram? It killed me to see her so happy with Ben.

The photo pulled up a picture of her long milky legs. A white sheet rested just above her knees.

Underneath her were messy white sheets.

-Lazy day with the BF @beninja 😴🌇🏠-

I glanced down at the comments.

-get some!- one of her friends commented.

-oh believe me, I am 😏- Ivy replied.

-are you ladies talking about my amazing bedroom skills? 😏- Ben joined in.

-maybe 😜- was the last comment that Ivy posted.

As I locked my phone, I couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt in my chest. It hurt to think about other people putting their hands on what is mine.

It hurt to think about guys touching Ivy in such intimate ways.

It hurt to think about... Ivy.
🔴🔴🔴

Yeah, I already know what yall are about to say, Harry is a complete asshole and I agree 100% 🙌

But you also have to realize, that's the way guys are like. That's what one of my main goals with this books series was: telling the truth about relationships like Ivy and Harry had.

It's not gonna be rainbows and effing unicorns. People are gonna have to go through a LOT of shit.
