Chapter 16: Light Weights & Pain

Ivy's POV

The waitress sat down our drinks in front of all us that were sitting around the table.

"So anybody caught a man yet?" Janice asked us.

I remained quiet and sipped on my margarita. A few of the girls began raving about men in their life.

"What about you Ivy?" Taylor asked.
"I'm not looking at the moment."

"Oh, c'mon. You can't tell us there isn't anything between you and Ben. I've seen you two talking around the office."

I blushed, "We're just friends."

"Friends with benefits?" Janice suggested.

"God, no. Been there done that, someone ends up broken hearted," I shook my head.

"Well you owe me twenty bucks if you and Ben end up together," Taylor smirked.

"You guys are evil," I rolled my eyes.

I downed the rest of my drink and snapped my fingers at the waitress as if to ask for another.

"You wanna know what I heard the other day?" I overheard Michelle, one of the models tell Janice.

"What?" Janice replied, slurring her words a bit.

"I heard that two of the VS models were caught stealing some of the lingerie from the racks at a photo shoot."

Janice drunkenly laughed.

"That's crazy," Janice slurred.

"Light weight," Taylor mumbled to me.
"Yeah," I chuckled.

I stumbled in the front door and quietly shut the door behind me. The alcohol in my veins had everything spinning.

I kicked my heels off and headed for the stairs.

The stairs looked as if they were doubling in front of me. I held onto the railing and tried my best to make it up.

I was about halfway up when I missed a step, tripped, and fell down the stairs.

"Fuck," I shouted in pain as I landed on the ground at the bottom of the stairs.

A door swung open and someone came running down the stairs.

"Ivy?!" They shouted.

My arm hurt like hell. I was pretty sure I had broken something. The pain was so strong it was sobering me up a little bit.

"Ivy? Are you okay?" Ana gasped and crouched down by me.

I shook my head as hot tears fell down my face.

"Dean, call 911. We need an ambulance."
