Ivy's POV
I finished reading the article about Harry and quickly slammed my laptop closed in realization as to what I had been doing for the past few hours; googling Harry.
My head is still jumbled and googling pictures of Harry isn't helping.
"People will get hurt no matter what you decide, you just need to decide who." Ana's words replayed in my head over and over again.
There's no way to decide. There's just so much to each guy.
"Who do you see yourself marrying?" I asked myself out loud; yet another question I have no answer for.
I sighed and gripped onto my hair in frustration. It shouldn't be this hard to decide on a guy. Why couldn't this be as simple as a coin toss?
"Ben's on the line for you," Eve whispered as she peaked her head into my office,
"Thank you Eve," I forced the best smile I could muster.
She closed the door behind her, leaving me to take a deep breath before picking up the phone and pressing the flashing red button to accept the call.
"Hey," I answered in a soft voice.
"Hey, so I was wondering if you're up to go camping this weekend since you're off work?"My heartbeat decreased. How do you explain to your boyfriend you'd rather spend time alone to contemplate between him and your ex lover?
"I can't, I already have plans," I accidentally blurted.
"Oh?" He questioned.
"I.. um.. I'm gonna go visit my old roommates in California. You know, Lacey and Olivia?""Oh, okay. Maybe we could camp another time?"
"Yeah, maybe. Look I have a meeting in a few. I'll talk to you later?" I frowned as the other line kept silent.
"Yeah, talk to you later."
"Shit," I cursed as soon as I hung the phone back up.
Why did I tell Ben I was going back to California? Harry lives in California! But if I don't leave town Ben might figure out I lied.
I clicked onto my contacts app and clicked on Lacey's number, silently praying that she wasn't at work.
"Sip bitch?" She answered.
"I'm kinda in a pickle.."
•••"Flight 475 now boarding," the lady over the intercom announced to the buzzing airport.
"That's me," I sent Ben a small smile.
Ben nodded and pecked my lips, "Let me know when you've landed in California, so I know you're safe."
"Okay," I sent him a small smile. "I'll see you on Monday."
He kissed my lips one last time before I stepped in line with my passport and ticket in my hand that wasn't holding my heavy suitcase.
•••"Ivy!" Olivia squealed before wrapping her arms around me way too tight.
"Missed you too Liv," I chuckled.
"Stop hogging her, I want my turn to nearly suffocate her," Lacey whined.
Olivia and I both laughed as we separated and Lacey embraced me in a hug that wasn't nearly as tight as Olivia's had been.
"That's it, you have to move back here," Olivia joked. I chuckled.
Lacey finally let me go so I could pick up my suitcase off the ground and we could leave the stuffy airport.
God, I forgot how hot California is.
"So, you never explained why you had to come to California," Lacey frowned at me.
"Uh.. I'll explain later. Let's go have dinner or something, I'm starving. The airplane food was shit."
"C'mon, let's go fill you up with fatty American food. Those Europeans don't feed you enough, you're as skinny as a little twig."
I rolled my eyes at Olivia's comment.
"Taxi!" Olivia hollered and snapped her fingers.
•••"Oh my god," I moaned as soon as I bit into my Hardy's burger.
It's been months since I've had one, and I completely forgot how amazing the things are.
As soon as my bite of burger was swallowed, I shoved a handful of McDonald's fries in my mouth. Sure I've had McDonalds back home, but they're the bomb.
"You guys are gonna make me gain 15 pounds just this weekend," I pouted.
They rolled their eyes at me.
"So, now you have your food would you like to explain why you had to get away for the weekend?" Lacey raised an eyebrow.
I had to tell them sometime, they were just gonna keep bugging me until I spill. Might as well get it out of the way.
"Harry came back to London for my dad's wedding; he was my dad's best man and I was the maid of honor," I stopped eating and stared down at my food.
"Long story short, he confessed he wants me back and we kissed several times."
"But I thought you were Ben?" Olivia frowned at me.
"I am," I blushed. "That's why I had to get away. I can't be around Ben without feeling guilty for kissing Harry."
"Do you still love Harry?" Lacey asked.
"I don't know," I shrugged."If the kiss meant nothing than why should you feel so guilty? You still love Harry."
