50. Stand Off

Takashi wakes up and realises Mira has already gone.

Where is she? Nows not the time to go taking off by ourselves. Dom said.

She's not coming back. Takashi said. You know exactly where she went. I added. I see it in your eyes now. You know it means.

Yeah I've been exactly where she's at I was worried she'd actually follow through. I did it myself. Leaved my family so they would be safe only it made things worse I almost lost the one I loved in that process.

Why didn't you go after her? Han was furious. Thats what you do best though right D.

I'm planning on it but all of you should really get out of russia while you can. I'll handle the Mira situation from here.

The two stood face to face chests puffed out wanting to settle the business that had been between them.

Look the two of you fighting won't solve anything. You think she already made it to the Russians?

The group split up but Han and Dom joined me. We all grouped together a plan.

I made my way to the Cafe. The one Mikhail was known to frequent. The men outside let me pass easily which made me worry.

She was stunning even from a distance. Black leather pants and a red mid drift top. It suited her perfectly. There she sat next to the man. Like property. My blood began to boil. She was mine. When our eyes met she jolted up from her relaxed position. Mikhail smiled as if he already saw this coming.

DK, have a seat. He gestured for me to take a seat across from him. What can we do for you son.

Don't call me son. You have something that is mine and I'm not leaving without her.

Takashi. She cried in a low whisper as the suit waved to shut her down.

Her sacrifice was meant to set you all free. Where are your friends now?

Long gone. I said.

I could have my men gun you down but I decided to make Mira handle it. I was told to break her in and this should do nicely.

You could do that. Dieing at her hands is better than living without her.

This whole conversation was tense as she remained quiet. Her jaw clenched in regret or anger but she seemed already behaved. I studied her behavior trying to make out what it was that they had done to make her so docile.

I do love your spirit. How about we eat. I'm starving how about you Mira? You hungry?

She looked confused. Her mind was racing for a way to get us out of this. I could tell as she moved to sit next to me.

What are you doing she whispered at me sideways.

Did you really think I was going to let you ditch me with those people. Let you go handle this on your own. You dont know me as well as I thought you did.

Takashi I can't watch you die to.

You won't and if it comes down to that we die together. Thats the only plan do you understand.

As we whispered back and forth trying to hold our serious face Mikhail smiled back and ate his food.

I drank my alcoholic beverage as I watched him down a plate of meat and potatoes as Mira remained obediently quiet and stiff.

Well that was delicious he let out wiping the corner of his mouth with his unstained white handkerchief. Alright let's get to business then he said allowing for the quietness in the room to dissipate. His men suddenly started speaking as if they had been ordered quiet before he finished his meal.

Mira be a good girl and shoot your boyfriend in the back of the head. You know so it makes a huge blowout. He slides over her 9mm and let's it sit in the center of the table.

Miras gaze drifts from the 9mm then back up to Mikhail and then pick up the gun and turns the gun on Mikhail and fires but the gun didn't go off. Instead click, click. It was a test of course.

Did you think I would make it easy girl. Haha you definitely don't know Russians very well. You should have stayed in Tokyo.

Then a huge explosion created a distraction long enough for Mira and Dk to attempt an escape. They maneuvered there way to an exit as Han sniped a path for them to slip away.

After fighting our way out we made it to the private airfield. All of us. The rest had already board the plane.. When the oligarchs showed with yakuza the plane was already set to move. Dom threw in the bags and jumped in. Mira and D were the last to get on but there was no time and the plane had started to move.

We betrayed them so they betrayed us. A real Russian stand off. Bullets flying and Mira a D end up surrounded in a warehouse.
