"𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻'𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆."- 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗮𝘆.the sun was shining on my skin as i tanned outside. i mean i was already pretty tan but i had nothing better to do. i rubbed sunscreen all over my body because i hated using tanning lotion. my phone dinged and i immediately thought it was joão. after the date last weekend we talked almost everyday. to my surprise it wasn't joão it was geo.
the text said "hey girl didn't mean to bother you but plsss come to training today!!!" i hadn't had anything to do today, but i didn't really want to pay for a cab there and back. i was already short on money as it was and that would just make me plain ass broke! i really needed to get a job soon. i didn't want to bother joão, geo, or jasmine for a ride.
i don't want them to pity me because of my situation, if i just worked harder i wouldn't have lost my job. that's on me, not them. i texted geo back saying i couldn't go. in all honesty i really did want to go. but it was either go to training or starve because i wouldn't have enough money for food. and trust me i didn't want to starve to death.
i sat my phone down and layed in the sun, letting my skin soak up the suns rays. my phone dinged again with geo saying "i'll be at your house in 5." how did she know where i live! i swear the things you can find out with money. i ran inside moving my chair that i was laying on in the shade. i put on biker shorts and a tank top. i also put on small gold hoops and a gold heart necklace.
for shoes i just wore plain white air forces, nothing special and i was comfortable. i heard a car pull into my driveway and i assumed it was her. i walked out grabbing my house keys and locking the door. geo waved at my as her window rolled down. damn this car was nice. she needs to teach me her tips.
i got in the air conditioned car and smiled at her. "𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗺𝗲 𝘂𝗽." i said laughing. she waved her hand at me and said, "𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹, 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁!" geo was going down the same route joão always goes every time he picks me up to go to training with him. the radio was on playing whatever new hit single was out.
when i used to drive i hated not having my music playing. it was one of my pet peeves. don't get me wrong i love being open to listen to new music but just the plain radio, i think i may actually die. it took us a good ten minutes to get there rather than the fifteen minutes it usually takes me and joão to get there. we're not going to talk about geo speeding half the way here.
me and geo walked out of the car going to our regular spots to watch the guys train. there just wasn't this usually glow that geo had to her. something was definitely wrong. "𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗴𝗲𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆?" i genuinely was worried about her. if she was going thorough something i would love for her to have someone to talk to about it.
i'm the type of person that when someone is struggling i have to be able to help them. it's one of those traits i picked up in highschool. i remember when i went through this hard time in senior year, and there was this one girl who picked me up through it. i will never be able to thank her for that. geo looked at me and took a deep breath. "𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿?"
i nodded my head to show her i was listening. "𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘁, 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶. 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼'𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲! 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴."
she let out a sigh like a big weight was lifted off of her shoulders as she said that. "𝗴𝗲𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗶 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶 𝗱𝗼𝗻' 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗲." she looked at me with a smile appearing on her face. she had a beautiful smile.
"𝗼𝗵 𝗶 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁!" i nodded my head. i knew either way geo WOULD pay me whether i liked it or not. "𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝗼𝗮𝗼!" she said giggling with excitement. i told her everything that happened on our last date and by the time i was finished she was squealing and wouldn't stop.
"𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝘂𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿! 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗶 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵." i laughed at her silly little comment. training was over by the time me and geo were done with our "little" life update. we walked down to locker rooms waiting for the boys to get out. joão walked out first and when he saw me a smile appeared on his face "𝘀𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗶 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱'𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲."
he said looking at me. "𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗿!" i said pulling geo into a side hug as we laughed. cristiano walked out as me and geo were in our side hug laughing and said, "𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗶 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲." he faked cried as he said last part earning a laugh from me and geo.
"𝗮𝗺 𝗶 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲?" joão said but before i could speak geo was dragging me away from the pair. i busted out laughing as geo dragged me around like a rag doll. i shook my head at joão's question. "𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘅 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲!" i yelled as me and geo ran down the corridor laughing. we didn't stop laughing until we got to my apartment.
