"𝗶 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗻𝗮 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁. 𝘀𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆." - 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻.

i did great at the job interview. i took a taxi back to geo's house, more like mansion. i was on her couch now playing with cristiano jr. i was whopping his ass in mario kart. i should've let him win, but i just couldn't. i could tell we were both having fun.

an hour passed when i heard my phone buzz. geo had messaged me saying that she wasn't going to be able to watch the rest of the twilight movies because cristiano had a game. i wanted to go. even if that meant seeing joão. it more than likely would be the last time i had free time.

i texted geo a quick text asking if i could go. she sent me a thumbs up and said she be here in about thirty minutes. that was thirty more minutes to kick this kids ass in mario cart. me and jr heard a car pull in and got up to go leave.

as we got in the car geo threw us two jerseys that had ronaldo and the number 7. "𝗶 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘆, 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱." geo said laughing. she was the nicest human being ever but when you wronged her friends, she'd get you.

i wouldn't have anything against magui expect she was in on the whole thing. the stupid fucking bet. i wanted answers. why did he do it? was it all a lie?  i could see why jasmine was in it, it still hurt though. as i sat in the passenger seat of geo's car i replayed all the events that unfolded.

me and jasmine met at my old job, which later i was fired from. so maybe they had something to do with me getting fired. then jasmine took me to the club and i met joão. she practically forced me to forget my phone and that's how it all happened. i'm such an idiot.

"𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲." geo said getting out of the car. as we walked in i was absolutely dreading this. in the end i knew the only reason i came was because of joão. i missed us, even if i shouldn't. i tend to hold on to relationships for a very long time. even if they weren't meant for me.

geo was guiding me to our seats and i watched as the portugal national team warmed up. i saw joão, it wasn't hard to spot him out of all those players. he stood out to me. "𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲." geo said motioning me to stand up. "𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀?"

"𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻, 𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲." she said laughing. i nodded my head and walked with her. she lead me to a small little room where people where talking and drinking. i know this isn't where you get snacks. "𝗴𝗲𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲?" i said looking around.

"𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, 𝘄𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱. 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁." i nodded my head and stood close by her. i was new to all of this obviously. geo grabbed a can of soda and i did the same.

me and her talked for a bit before heading to leave. three girls walked in, two blondes the other a brunette. me and geo walked to the door when i noticed who it was. magui. i hated that bitch. jasmine was with her too. for this past month i held in a lot shit that was caused by three people. them being two people in it.

i wasn't going to hold back, they did there damage to me so i wanted to do it to them. as soon as they saw me i walked towards them. shoving the blondes ones name i didn't know out of the way. geo trailed behind me making sure no one would stop what was about to happen.

i wasn't thinking right, i just knew what my mind wanted to do and not my heart. i inched closer to magui and threw a hard punch. she fall back onto the floor and landed on her butt. i turned towards the door exiting and going back to our seats. i didn't care if i got kicked out.

she deserved it. "𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗷𝗼𝗯! 𝗶'𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶." geo said. i laughed and shook my head. the rest of the game i watched joão. i didn't see any point in looking at the other players. jr kept side eyeing me the entire time. the game ended in a victory.

"𝗶'𝗺 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼, 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗷𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿?" geo said handing me her keys. "𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗶 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹." i said smiling. me and jr walked out making our way to the parking garage. "𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱?" i asked jr. the wind blew through my hair.

"𝗻𝗼, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱." me and jr walked around for ten minutes still not being able to find a car. "𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗴𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱?" i said. he nodded his head and as we were back i saw joão. he stood there with a smile on his face. he was on his phone.

i could only assume it was had something to do with magui. "𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗴𝗼." jr said whispering to me. i started walking away when i felt something grab my arm and pull me back. joão. "𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲." i said with a blank face. who just randomly grabs someone. i motioned jr to go on without me.

"𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶." joão said. "𝗻𝗼, 𝗶 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘆." i say looking around for anything i could look at besides him. "𝗶'𝗺 𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶. 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲. 𝗶 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲. 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴."

i looked at joão and stood there. it didn't matter what he said, it couldn't undo the fact it was all a bet. he didn't care how i felt after breaking up with me. i wouldn't care now. his words meant nothing. i walked off leaving joão alone there.

i wanted to run back, but i couldn't. i wouldn't. i found geo and jr about five minutes later. geo wanted to know what happened but i told her i would tell her another day. i walked to the car getting in the passenger seat and laying my head against the window.

i would be leaving portugal, whether i liked it or not.
