"Tu itni der kyu ni aaya ?",Shehnaaz said to miraal. Her head laying in Miraal's lap.The moon shone with a silver streak,it was december and life in its most mundane form had been restricted. The early night fog had started to grip the town ,the two people standing at an arms distance would soon not be able to see each other. The bone chilling cold at about one degree was in sync with the system.

Miraal and Shehnaaz had been the mirrors to each others form .They had met during their life at college and developed a strong bond that could not be simplified. Both of them had unraveled layers of each other ,they didn't know existed.A lot of what they were was actually each others digging. They had shared a cosmic kind of energy with each other, affecting each other in every string that made up their soul. They were not  a regular kind of friendship, but a different one,the one that challenged their very existence. Of course they would gossip all day long ,talk about everything, know everything and everyone. But wasn't it to them, what made them so astonishing was the acceptance their souls had to each other. It was almost criminal and kindoff scary ,that their worst forms had an easy acceptance compared to their best.Theirs was a bond of souls, that had lasted the test of time. But ,then like all cosmic connections they too had been broken on earth ,Miraal had chosen someone she loved over Shehnaaz. And distanced herself from Shehnaaz, just like that without a goodbye. Maybe she could never say goodbye to Shehnaaz. But ,their souls had made   a way back ,just enough to let them hear each others voice, even if it was once in many years.

Sidharth could not sleep that night. He didn't know anything, but the love that he had for Shehnaaz. She was the very blood of his own heart. The pain that they could cause each other by being together and fighting was a lot ,but not more than what pain ,separation had caused them. Sidahrth could not believe   that the love he had for Shehnaaz was a love so strong ,that even he himself didn't matter. It were the requirement he would spit up into atoms, just to see her smile.Such was the love he had for her.It was for the first time , that the strength of his love for her dawned upon him and that scared him.He knew she could be anyone  or anything,  and he would still love her, maybe even harder. He so missed her this moment that he walked to her closed apartment
.Maybe to catch a reminiscent of hers. She was in everything, all this palce screamed was her ,lingering perfume of hers in the air.

"So...",Miraal questioned Shehnaaz?
Both of them had not slept a second in the night.Shehnaaz had finally cried like a little girl in her arms. She had bared her soul out to Miraal. No emotion she had felt was left untouched.

"Kya...?",Shehnaaz asked as she lay on the bed ,looking to the sky.Their were no lights in the room, with the winter chill outside ,even the dead were asleep at this hour of early morning.

"The reason?",Miraal answered.

"What  reason?"

"Kyu kia...why did you do it ...with the Rumi thing?"

"Gussa ,impulse,  maybe I had to do something to protect me if no one else could.",Shehnaaz answered.

"Nope...you don't react in impulse,Shehnaaz we don't react on impulse , our kind does not do that.....if you were angered tu woh reaction deti jo tune Sidharth ko dia...even then I think you didn't react in impulse....."

Shehnaaz smiled to her statement. Miraal did know her.The smile turned to a sad one and then the one of horror.

"The same reason you think I did it for.",Shehnaaz confessed, turning towards Miraal, looking into her eyes, this was the moment of confession.

"Speak it..",Miraal knew the importance of Shehnaaz accepting herself.

Shehnaaz let out a sigh,a very deep one.Something heavy was comming out.She looked back at the ceiling ,playing  with the bun stick in her hand. She began ,"I did it because I knew I could do it...just that,no anger ,no defense nothing...i knew I could yield power on that girl and I did it."Shehnaaz knew there were no judgements coming up for her on Miraal's side. Miraal held her Hand, she knew the demon that resided deep inside Shehnaaz.
