A/n: The First half of this chapter or so is the aftermath of the festival party, but are from Caleb & Catherine's different points. If you can guess the Disney song within Catherine's part, be sure to comment what it is!

Caleb's POV

After we got up from our small nap underneath the fully bloomed Lunaris Tree, we walked up to the front of the cottage and we stopped. I turned to Catherine, bring her soft hands to my lips. "Thank you for this wonderful evening." I bent my head down to kiss her hand. "Goodnight, Catherine."

"Goodnight, Blondie," Catherine smiled.

I walked into the house and creeped quietly up the staircase. I found the way to my room, and creaked open the door after knocking. "Psst. Philip?" I whispered.

I sighed, grinning. I noticed Philip had fallen fast asleep on his desk, an inked quill still in hand with the candle still burning with hot wax dripping down its sides. I went over to his bed and grabbed the lighter sheet and covered him enough to stay nice and warm. Must be overworked from taking notes and exploring. "All for Philip..."

I blew out the candle on the desk and climbed into bed, Flapjack snuggling up on my lap as I lay down. "Good night, Phil," and with that I dozed off into a comfy slumber.

Catherine's POV

We finally had gotten up from our nap under the Tree, about thirty minutes after we had stopped talking. The Lunaris tree blossoms were fully bloomed white, iridescent turquoise and a bright magenta. We walked side by side up to the front steps of the house, until Caleb stopped.

He turned towards me and grabbed my hand and brought it up to his face. "Thank you for this wonderful evening." He continued, bringing my hand up to his soft lips, kissing my knuckles.

"Goodnight, Catherine," Caleb replied with his signature soft smile, before turning away to enter the house.

"Goodnight, Blondie."

He closed the door behind him, and my smile turned to a frown. This was an absolute disaster! I knew I shouldn't have brought up that story, and now look at me! I'm jumping back into that romantic light, and it's all because of Him! This is exactly what I didn't want happening!

"What's the matter with me? You'd think a girl would learn!" I scolded myself. I took out the Lunaris flower from my hair that Caleb had given to me and looked at it with pride. I know he didn't know what the flower meant, and didn't understand the whole significance behind it, but... Oh Titan! Why is love so hard?

"No man is worth the aggravation!" I dropped the flower as if it meant nothing. "That's ancient history! Been there, done that!"

I walked on, taking the other flowers out of my hair, which I had accepted from Caleb earlier in the evening before our dance. I just wish I could push this feeling away, this feeling of love, acceptance, and comfort by him. He's so kind, understanding, thoughtful, handsome, and just everything, just like Them. But I won't get hurt again!

"It's too cliché, I won't say I'm in love!" I told myself. Trying to convince myself he meant nothing. Just a friend!

I went up to one of the old trees in the backyard. I ran my hands over a heart with my initial and another scratched out part, Their initial. "I thought my heart had learned its lesson, it feels so good when you start out!"

I lean my head up against the tree, "My head is screaming 'Get a Grip, Girl! Unless you're dying to cry your heart out!'"

I continued to walk around trying to get Caleb out of my head and continuing to convince myself I wasn't head over heels for him, but it was to no use! I found myself over by the barn, leaning my back against the wall outside with my arms crossed. "Get off my case, I won't say it!"
