The whole journey my leg was bouncing up and down, i was extremely nervous for Eddie. If everyone found out he was the one with Chrissy, he'd be the one getting blamed.

I tried to get hold of him on my walkie talkie to see if he was in range- but there was no answer.

"Eddie it's Sam, do you copy?" I tried again.

"Can't you leave it Sam? It's obvious he hasn't got his walkie talkie on him." Nancy said.

"We have to keep trying." I said eagerly.

"Hey Nance, how much longer until we arrive? I get kinda car sick during long travels, it makes my stomach go like wooooooop, down the drain and it- Sorry i'm rambling aren't i?" Robin said fastly.

"Don't worry, we have about two minutes left if i'm correct." Nancy said.

"Max are you okay?" Dustin asked.

"What?" Max looked confused. "Yeah- no- i'm fine." She looked out of it. "I just have a headache."

"Your nose is bleeding." Steve said, passing her a tissue. He was like the father figure for her. For all of the smaller ones.

"Alright here we are." Nancy said.

Everyone opened their car door, and stepped out. Walking towards the hideout, it looked as though no one was home.

Dustin banged on the door.

"Eddie are you there? Look, it's Dustin. No cops i promise."

"I don't think anyones home Henderson." Steve said, shining his torch through the window.

"Guys, i might've found where he is." I said, looking at a hut at the back of the house.

As we got to the door, I could notice that it was unlocked, meaning there was a chance Eddie was in there.

"Be careful." Nancy whispered.

There was an oar on the floor, Steve picked it up and used it as a weapon.

"There's fresh wrappings here," Max said, looking down at some opened food wrappers.

Steve began hitting the boat tarp with the oar.

"I'm a bit creeped out i will not lie to you. What if someone else is here?" Robin said.

"Don't worry, Steve'll get him with his oar!" Dustin smiled sarcastically.

"I know you think you're being funny Henderson, but now is not the time to be joking around." Steve said, still hitting the tarp.

"Be careful! He might be under there!" I whispered angrily.

"Well if you're so brave why don't you lift it-"
Steve began, but someone jumped out from under the tarp, that person was Eddie.

He looked scared, angry, he held a shattered half of a beer glass to Steve's neck.

"Woah woah woah woah woah! Eddie!" Dustin yelled.

Everyone was shouting, until it went quiet.

"Eddie he is not going to hurt you. Put the bottle down. We are not here to hurt you. I swear on my mother! Right guys?"

"Right!" Robin said.

"On Dustin's mother." Max said.

"On Dustin's mother." i said.

Eddie looked at Steve with evil eyes.

"Steve!!!" Dustin shouted.

"Yeah, yeah, right! On Dustin's mother."

"Drop the oar!" Dustin yelled.

Steve put his hands up in surrender and ripped the oar, making Eddie let go, releasing a sigh from everyone.

"What are you doing here?" Eddie said, scared, his voice shaking as he sat on the floor.

"We just want to talk.." Dustin said cautiously, going in to touch Eddies hand, but he moved it away quickly. "Alright, alright!"

"Eddie will you tell us what happened?" Nancy asked, kneeling down.

"If i tell you, you won't believe me." He said, looking down.

"Try us." Max said, shrugging confidently.

********************************************
Eddie explained what happened, he looked so scared i just wanted to go up to him and wrap my arms around his body. But, losing Chrissy must've been hard for him if he cared about her.

"You all probably think i'm crazy, right?" He said.

"No. We don't." Robin said.

"Don't bullshit me man!"

"We're not bullshitting you." I said. "We've been through things like this before Eddie. Things a lot worse."

Eddie tilted his head, confused.

"We had this friend," Nancy started.

"Yeah, she had superpowers and all- could move things with her mind you know?" Steve added.

"She saved us." Max said.

"Eleven, that was her name. Without her, we are totally fucked." I smiled.

"Well I cannot do anything right now, the cops are definitely looking for me." He shook.

"Do you want anything? We can go shopping for you. Stay here until everything's okay?" I said.

He didn't answer, he just looked down. He looked so scared it was hard to describe. It hurt my heart to see him like this.

"You guys go and get him food and drinks, i'm staying with him." I said.

"Why won't you come?" Dustin said.

"He needs someone Dustin, look at him. I can't leave him here on his own."

"Fair enough. We'll get going then."

"Please do. Goodbye." I said, shooing them all off. They left, leaving me and Eddie.

I sat down beside him and pulled him closer to me. His head leaned into my chest. I heard him begin to sob.

I lifted his head up. Clearly what he saw had an affect on him.

"Hey, it's okay. She's alright now, no more pain." I said gently.

"I couldn't do anything. I just- i just ran away. Like i always do, i run from everything."

"There was nothing you could do, Eddie. It's okay to run away, we are not heroes. You know, like you said, there's no shame in running." I smiled, wiping a tear off of his face for him.

"I hardly even knew her, it was just some deal and it all turned around."

Maybe he wasn't with Chrissy because of what i had thought; it was just a drug deal. Now i felt bad for what i assumed.

"It will be alright. Nothing is going to happen to you. I promise."
