"We're gonna need to start building up our weapons and gear. But it won't be a quick job." Nancy said.

"Oh! And don't forget we still need to figure out the real plan." Robin added.

"We'll leave it a few days? I don't know about you all, but i am not ready to fight yet." I said.

"I know. We'll give it a day and a bit, max. And then that gives us time to prepare, and eventually get to Vecna and kill him." Nancy said. "Max, you must remember to keep playing Kate Bush, we never know when he'd attack, but as long as you have the music it puts a hold on him. Got it?"

""I got it, i mean, i listen to it all the time so.. shouldn't be difficult." Max shrugged.

"Can we pullover? There's a gas station nearby. I need to use the bathroom." Erica said with sass, more telling Steve than asking.

"Alright, any one else need to go?" Steve sighed.

"No but i'll get out for a smoke." Eddie said, getting up.

"I'll join you." I said.

"Wha- Uh- Sam?! You smoke now?!" Nancy said shocked.

"I swear to god if you tell mum i am gonna-"

"No don't worry- i won't. But can i just ask, how long?"

"I don't know... i guess- uh, for a few months?"

"A few months?! Jesus christ Sam you are insane! I bet you do drugs as well..." Nancy crossed her arms and looked at me like a parent.

"No-" I lied.

Eddie nudged my arm and made the noise when you hold in the laughter. I gave him the death stare, where as he was just there grinning at me.

"Unbelievable. You're lucky i'm not telling mum!"

"I- okay." I said in defeat, pushing Eddie out of the door and then getting out myself.

Eddie and i went to the side of the building so no one could see us. It was surrounded by bushes too for privacy.

"What do you plan on doing for those next two days of freedom as a wanted man?"

"Well i uh, can't go back to my place can i, so uh, i'm not so sure." He said, smiling sarcastically, passing me a cigarette and lighting his own.

"You could stay at my place?" I said, lighting mine also.

"There's no way your parents would let me do that." He shook his head.

"Who said anything about parents? It's only a day and a bit, i can bring you food, you can sleep on the floor, hide in the closet if anyone comes in? Not that they do anyway, just Mike. And he's gone so uh, yeah." I suggested. "And your clothes, we can head back to your place and get some spare clothes if you wanted to."

"You'd do that for me?"

"Well you're my best friend, Eddie. I'd do anything it takes to keep you safe."

A small smile lifted on his face, his eyes were so precious. The moment was ruined by Steve honking the van, and shouting.

"Hurry up lovebirds or we're leaving here without you!"

We just rolled our eyes and threw our cigarettes into the bushes, walking back to the van. The two of us got back in and sat at the back on the sofa where we were before. Now we had the long journey back.

"Eddie's gonna stay in my room for the two days, but you can't tell mum Nance."

"What? How are you gonna do that without mum knowing?"

"Don't worry, it'll be fine. Just don't spill."

"I won't, okay?"

Sometimes i was glad Nancy wasn't like Mike, she actually listened. Mike was an annoying swine who told at anytime he got. I hoped that as he grew up he'd grow out of that phase, but now he's nearly 15 and hasn't changed a bit. The little shit.

The journey was still going on and on and on. Everyone was having their own conversations.

"You know, when i was younger i had dreams that i'd become a superhero, and i swore to myself that i'd never ever.. get myself in deep shit. I always wanted everything to be...- peaceful. I never wanted any of this, i just wanted a normal life." Eddie said softly.

"Yeah but isn't a normal life boring?" I said. "You are gonna get out of this murdering shit- as soon as vecna dies. I promise you, we are gonna live a normal life and go out..- smoking or whatever."

"How much longer?" Lucas asked.

"Ten mins, tops. Hang in there bud." Steve said.

"Bud? What are we, ten?" Lucas looked disgusted at Steve's words.
