Seeing as we were in the woods, we stopped at Skull Rock, if you can even call it that, seeing as we were in the whole other world. We had to think of a plan.

"What are we meant to do?! We are stuck down here and- and- we have no weapons, we literally just used an oar to fight of some bats- what?" Robin spoke quickly.

"That was close." I said.

"Too close." Eddie replied.

"Ah.. Jesus." Steve stumbled back onto the rock for a moment, holding his wound.

"Oh my gosh Steve, are you okay?" Nancy said concerned.

"I'm fine, i'm fine."

"No your'e not, your losing blood."

"Come on, sit. Alright?" Nancy helped him sit, and she began bandaging his wound. Steve was grunting in pain.

"So the good news is i'm pretty sure wooziness isn't a sign of rabies- but, if you start having hallucinations or start feeling aggressive, like you wanna punch me, let me know." Robin said.

"Robin." Steve sighed out.

"Yeah?"

"I kinda wanna punch you."

She let out a little chuckle.

"Okay, so sense of humor is still in tact, that's a good sign."

"Yeah." Steve grunted in pain some more.

"Sorry, too tight?" Nancy worried.

"No, that's good." He stood again.

"So uh, this place is like Hawkins, but with monsters and nasty shit?" Eddie asked, whilst on top of the rock having a look around.

"Pretty much." I said.

"Hey watch out for the vines." Steve remembered. "It's all a hive mind."

"It's all a what?"

"All the creepy crawlies around here, they're like one or something." Steve continued. "Step on a vine, you step on a bat, you're stepping on vecna."

"Shit." Eddie made his way carefully back down. "But everything from our world is still here, right? Except people?"

"As far as i understand it, yeah." I said.

"So theoretically, we could go to the police station and steal guns and grenades and whatever we need to blow up those bat things that are guarding the gate." Robin suggested.

"I highly doubt the Hawkins PD has grenades, Robin." Steve said. "But guns, yeah sure."

"Well, we don't have to go all the way downtown for guns. I have guns, in my bedroom." Nancy said.

"You, Nancy Wheeler, have guns, plural, in your bedroom?" Eddie said shocked.

"You have guns?!" I said, raising my voice. No way did my sister Nancy Wheeler have guns in her bedroom, she wasn't like that.

"Full of surprises isn't she?" Robin said.

"A Russian Makarov and a revolver."

"You almost shot me with that one," Steve said.

"You almost deserved it." She smirked.

Eddie took off his denim jacket and threw it at Steve.

"For your modesty dude." He said.

All of a sudden the ground started shaking, like an earthquake.

"Oh my god!" I said, we all got down onto the floor so we wouldn't fall down. I was right up next to Eddie.

"Yeah, so guns seem like a pretty good idea to me." Eddie said.

"Yeah, me too." I agreed.

"So what are we waiting for?" Steve asked. We all got back up again after the shaking stopped and made our way to mine and Nancy's home through the woods.

"Couldn't we have tried a road, or something slightly less creepy?" Robin asked.

Me, Nancy and Robin walked in front whilst Steve and Eddie trailed behind.

"I think we're getting close, we're almost out of here. Don't worry." Nancy assured.

Back behind, the two of them had their own conversation whilst we had ours.

"Eddie. Hey man, uh, i just wanted to say thanks fr saving my ass back there."

"Shit, you saved your own ass man." Eddie said. "I mean that was a really Ozzy move you pulled back there."

"Ozzy?"

"When you took a bite out of that bat. Ozzy Osbourne? Black Sabbath? He bit a bats head off on stage."

"I don't-"

"It's very metal, what you did. That's all i'm saying."

"Thanks."

"Henderson told me you were a badass. Insisted on the matter in fact."

"Henderson said that?"

"Oh yeah, shit." Eddie said. "Kid worships you dude. Like you have no idea, it's kinda annoying to be honest. I don't even know why i care what that little shrimp thinks, but uh, i guess i got a little jealous Steve. I guess i couldn't accept the fact that Steve Harrington was actually a good dude. Still super jealous as hell, by the way which is why i would not have jumped in that lake to save your ass. Not under uh, any normal circumstances." He continued. "Nope, outside of D&D i am no hero, i see danger and i just turn heel and run, or at least that's what I've learned about myself this week."

"Give yourself a break, man."

"See? The only reason i came down here was cause those ladies, well, Nancy and Robin, came straight in after you. Now, me and Sam would've been too ashamed to stay behind." He said. "But Wheeler One right there, Nancy, she didn't waste a second. Not one second, she just dove right in. Now i don't know what happened between the two of you, but if i were you, i would get her back. Cause that was as unambiguous a sign of true love as these cynical eyes have ever seen."

"What about you and Sam?"

"What about her?"

"You seem close, do you think she'd do the same for you?"

"Yeah.. i mean, i think she would but, uh, that's if she was brave enough. She's a lot like me actually. See's danger and runs from it. I only went in because she was with me, and because the others went in of course."

"You two could be good together. You know that? When we were without you for a few hours, those hours would kill me. Every minute she'd say, can we go back to Eddie now? Or, Eddie do you copy? Even though she knew we were not in range. It was annoying to be honest. All she went on about was you, she didn't want to leave you. If it weren't for Max being cursed by this shit, she would definitely had stuck by your side."

The ground started shaking again. I looked back and saw Eddie and Steve get down again.

"Here we go again." Eddie said, gritting his teeth.

"Second on my list of least favourite things, earthquakes." Robin said. "Seriously, i'm unsteady enough as it is."

"Nancy?!" I called, as Nancy began running away. "Where are you going?!" She stopped her tracks, and the rest of us caught up with her.

In sight was our house, she had managed to spot it whilst the shaking hit.

"Let's go." She said.
