Weller's POV (so anyways, the main villain needs some love AND WHAT BETTER THAN HIS FAVORITE HOBBY?)
"Little Miss Ferla...why hello there." I smirk as I appear in her room.
"You, how did y-" I cut her off by placing a finger on my lip as a gesture.
"I have one question for you, how's your husband?" I question which immediately makes her stale. An assassin that uses seductive methods but has a dying husband, that'd be considered morally wrong today. But if she was a man and he was woman from centuries ago then it would've been acceptable but now, it wouldn't be so which one would be right? It'll all depend on who you ask. There'd be no right or wrong answer because you don't know the right or wrong time, it just depends on your moral compass.
It doesn't matter if the rest of society agrees with you. After all, any different time would give a different answer and there'd be no right or wrong. There is no good or bad, it's simply how your emotions leads your thinking, logical thinking isn't gonna be able to argue against it either since after all, there are so many what if's that could go against it perfectly.
I've seen so many views and perspectives but I can always argue against them, I can even argue against my own but my philosophy always manages to stand.
How paradoxical.
"How do you know?" Ferla asks soundings tough but her mind is panicking.
"Government perks, answer the question now." I smirk.
"Why should I...!?" she questions.
"I could leak the truth to him, leak it to the police, only show parts of the truth to make him you're cheating on him but that's just blackmail..." I state and smirk as her fierceness starts to fade, she grabs a gun in a drawer. She points at me what would a gun do towards me? A 5034 year old vampire that has seen so much, her hands are trembling but her face remains calm. I move no inch, hands are in pockets and we're standing face to face in her apartment.
"I have another proposal, I show the police how your company lies to get assassins so you get a lesser sentence." I smirk which makes her loosen her grip. "I have evidence, right in this usb."
"How can I know it's not fake!?" she yells with her guard up again.
"Take it, look for yourself." I say and toss it over. She catches it and starts it up immediately, I keep my promises. A wave of happiness comes over her, she feels happy and relieved as her desperation is now free. Though, I want a puppet and in the mood to manipulate...
"But, where'd you go from then?" I question. "There is no guarantee that they wouldn't escape before then and find out, funny how there's the light at the end of the tunnel but no one tells you where to go from there as you sacrifice everything just to get out of the tunnel. Where'd you get money for your husband? They hide all their money, you can control them instead with this you know..."
She's all ears now, seeming eager for my proposal, how desperate can you be? I'll have my fun with this, the company she works for sure is a unique one but no matter. What an easy one, desperate already and I haven't even started to rewire her brain. Rewiring the brain quite literally, no tools needed, just words.
"You love your husband dearly and he loves you dearly aswell, curious how he'll react if he found out that you suddenly had your own company and a lot of money though, suddenly?" I 'question'. Where I'm leading this will be interesting...
"Causes a dilemma, you either come clean or lie until it breaks you, depends how he'll react." I chuckle. "If you come clean then how will he react to finding out about the seductive methods you used, so what will it matter if he's cured?"
"If I lie?" she questions.
"You live with guilt, live a double life and get exhausted until it torments you with everything you've done." I answer. The third option would be to convince him but, that'd be difficult and I'm here for results. Manipulation is a little hobby of mine, that is if you can call it manipulation. I destroy their minds, I rewire their brain, twist their moral compass and can do it with just a few sentences, I put them in the illusion of control but they're my puppet who thinks I'm leading them so they can achieve their goal.
In reality, I've destroyed their life as their brain is literally rewired to the point of no return. Twisted you can say, though it could be perfectly acceptable in the future so which view would be right?
"What would you like to do about this dilemma?" I question.
"It's already tearing me, what can I do?" her voice trembles as she stares at the ground with wide eyes.
"What you could do, is force him to be with you." I say. "Well not threaten him or anything but guilt trip him, after all, it's nothing new to you."From an outsider's perspective, what I just said was a mistake but Ferla is desperate to have both sides, she wants all the benefits and choosing between just one is tearing her. I've attacked her weak spot and she's having her moral compass twisted, it's already slowly changing direction.
All because she's desperate right now, simple as that. I'm just pulling certain strings and it's working, after all, I have 5034 years of experience on this. Manipulation is one of the only things that can amuse me anymore...
"Everything in this world are just mere ants, no one cares about these ants but you can control these ants." I start. "Be the strongest one get the benefits of all sides, strength is different for everyone so it'll all come down to how you utilize it." I continue. "If you can utilize it properly then you can have your husband and the money without having to be controlled anymore as you have freedom."

"..."
'Control...freedom...husband...strength...control...freedom...husband...strengh...'
Those words are repeating in her head over and over again, she's a puppet now. One with a twisted moral compass thinking she can get what she wants, she can't hear anything else other than those thoughts so I can't help but chuckle. Pathetic, isn't it?
............................................................
The fact he's my favorite character and the main villain but barely gets any focus-
He's either really hated for his twisted tendencies or really loved for his philosophy
This chapter was to purely show his manipulative and twisted side, storywise, this'll matter in book 3 but not this book and I promise we are currently in the arc of building up for the finale
