Harry's POV
Rewards of a Close Bond

Liza is so energetic today, she usually has a lot of energy but today is special. She's spoiling me a lot and I have no idea what the surprise is though I won't complain. Really, there's nothing to complain about at all. She's holding my hand leading me places while we talk about random stuff and even things I never knew about.

Popular video games, foods and not to mention her hiding behind me when there's a bumblebee nearby. I've had multiple moments where I forget what happened yesterday and her words in the restaurant really are comforting to me. For the most part, I understood her words myself before the conversation but having someone you care about tell you it actually hits different. Even if it's just one sentence.

"Mr Demon, you like ice cream, right?" Liza asks.
"Well why wouldn't I?" I respond.
"Then let's get some at that ice cream truck." she states. "What flavors?"
"Strawberry and vanilla." I answer.
"Finally someone who likes vanilla." she says happily.

Liza pulls me to the ice cream truck and orders a waffle cone for me with the two scoops while she takes one scoop vanilla after some kids leave. It's been how many years since I last got ice cream...? Five years I think, when I wanted a way to cheer myself up from losing two dear people. Though eating ice cream again, now it feels refreshing, my favorite part being the strawberry scoop.

Maybe I just have a bias but nothing wrong with that in this scenario. We keep walking while eating, though she's leading us to the hotel which is half an hour away from here but I have a feeling she has something else planned. Wonder what that could be? I can't help but feel watched as I lick my ice cream. There's a certain pair of pink eyes are staring right at me from the corner of my view.

"You want this to be you?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Shut up..." she mutters. "And yes."
"Maybe it will happen, maybe not." I chuckle.
"Shut up you tease." she elbows me on the arm.

Liza is blushing a lot, how sweet. I like giving her pleasure, if anything, seeing and hearing her is all I need. It's sure delightful. Not to mention the way she can scream at times. My ice cream is probably gonna melt soon so I should finish it quickly.

I pull out my phone to check the time, 29th of May...just one week left. Not much longer but I don't wanna think about it. Liza is doing her best to make sure I'm having a good time so I'll save all this dreadful worry for later. Asher will probably lecture me for not relaxing aswell.

"There's the hotel." Liza states.
"Huh, what are you planning?" I ask.
"Just follow me!" she answers.

She somehow manages to eat up her entire ice cream in one bite and grabs my hand to start running, not into the hotel but behind it. There's a little path leading us into a forest, the ground starts getting damp before there's a bridge built just one meter above the ground. We stop running once we're on the bridge. Our hands are still together and I look around. The trees are high up, a big forest that doesn't seem to end as we continue walking.

"Who would've thought there'd be a place like this?" I whisper.
"It gets better!" Liza smiles.
"Whatever you say, Strawberry." I reply.

Liza trips on a rock and I catch her. Well, I guess with the way she was rushing it's understandable it does bring a sense of deja vu. She curses under her breath, kicking the rock away. The embarrassment on her face is so obvious and I can't help but laugh at that. Well, it gives me death glare with every ounce of her hatred but I can't help it.

"Slow down there, let's be more careful." I laugh, wrapping my arm around her waist.
"Stupid rocks." she mutters. "Just like the first time we met!"
"Ohhh right, that was one of the best moments." I say jokingly.
"You're an ass." she responds.

We both start walking again, this time she's a sour lemon. Keeping my arm around her waist as we walk on the bridge and a major wave of nostalgia. It wasn't that long ago since we were running and being chased in forests so ever since we took Azula's offer, we haven't really been out in nature all that much. This feels nostalgic, basically how me and Liza became friends.

Once we pass a certain point, I notice Liza seeming to get more and more excited. There's some sound of flowing water in the distance. Eventually, the bridge ends and we're at a lake, a huge stone wall with a waterfall running down and the trees surrounding the lake. Small channels of water running through here into the ground.

It's gorgeous.

"It's beautiful, Strawberry." I state.
"Mhm, let's go sit by the bench there!" Liza giggles, grabbing my hand for the millionth time.
"I love this place, think I might come here more often." I smile as we sit on the bench. "What a calming place..."

It's absolutely stunning, I feel as if I really can fully relax here. Is this the surprise? I don't think it really can get better, I love every moment of this...it's a completely new feeling to me. Everything about the scenery is beautiful and it surprises me that there's no one other than me or Liza.

"How'd you even find this?" I ask.
"Azula showed me a few days ago because of a certain reason." Liza answers.
"And that is?" I raise an eyebrow.

She reaches her hand into a pocket, pulling out a silver ring with an emerald...my eyes widen as I try to catch up with what's happening.

Is she...

"Will you marry me and let me be with you for as long as we live, Mr Demon?"
