Y/N POV

It's winter now. Came pretty quick, considering that it was autumn when we arrived. Didn't expect the season cycle to do this on us, because I was not prepared with winter clothes. Oh wait, I can just make some, yup.

Gli took off the restrictions to Mode Zero, and now I'm practically home free on making stuff. Oh yeah, and by the way, we're somewhat okay now in terms of economic stability.

Why are we not in debt? Ah, yes, all because of the great and powerful m-

"Papa, you can shut up about the monologue and get to the point."

"True, true. Anyways, I fixed the wall after Aqua's flood destroyed it. Using the Authority of Deceit, I gave it a complete makeover, now the front gate is literally the most fortified part of the city, plated with steel and titanium, it's inner beams made out of carbon steel while the structure itself was still made of bricks. Now there are two cannon posts inside the towers, along with two ballistas loaded with manatites that were supplied from the Adventurer's Guild.

So instead of going into a 40 million eris debt, our budget now stands at around 295 million eris with the deduction fee for the manatite that I paid for. I argued that it was technically for the city defence so it should be paid by the city, but they said they technically already allowed us to not pay for the 40 million eris that was supposed to be paid for the destruction of the city gates, so any advanced payment is not allowed.

I swear, this is definitely a scam.

I still lived in my sniper tower that I built on the plains, while Kazuma and the other used the parts of the remaining money for the rental fee of an inn. I made a little heater for myself, but didn't bother giving one to Kazuma since he was already getting warm baths at the bathhouse anyways.

I tinkered away at a new flamethrower design, one that would be perfectly fit for the winter cold. It also had a flame output adjustment system, which means that once it's finished, I could also use it as a blowtorch to light fires.

Rolling my blueprint up and placing it into the dimensional storage, I opened my door and went down the tower. I turned off the auto bow system on top because AFK farming was not an option right now. All the animals on the plains went into hibernation, so there was nothing to hunt.

Opening the gate to my tower, I was greeted with a snowball to the face and my nose was suddenly full of snow. Sneezing out the frozen water, I came face to face with a laughing Glitchøa, who already scooped up another snowball and was about to throw it before I summoned an Extension, took it from her, and slammed it into her face.

"Eh? What just happened-"

I took that moment and ran.

After being chased by Gli through the plains of snow, I arrived at Axel's front gates. After putting my fingerprint on a panel, I was let in immediately as the gate opened. Cool technology here? Say no more! The original already experimented with so many possibilities of technology it is practically impossible for me to not replicate them.

Now, the gates only have the two guards on the cannons and two on the ballistas. Nobody needs to constantly keep the gates open to let people in, as its like a home now. You have a key to your door, which is your own finger. I got everyone to get their fingerprint into the registry, and in doing so, I also used a extremely tiny fiber needle on the pad to get their DNA, so I could tell if they are actually the person they claim to be or not in the future when they request a re-registration for their finger prints if they're scarred or whatever.
