Y/N POV
Now that we have basically around 500 million eris under our belt, it was time to get some better equipment. I didn't really need anything, but the other were more than happy to spend some money for their own benefit. I didn't really mind, since it was our party that was doing all the awesome work.
Megumin got a new staff and a new mana orb for her new staff, while Darkness bought some new armour and a better sword since her former one was bisected by the Winter Shogun. Kazuma got a new cape, and a new short sword. Aqua didn't get herself anything new since she was quite satisfied with her equipment, since both her staff and hagoromo were 'holy'. However, she did buy like 10 bottles of fine wine, deducting a whopping 200000 eris which Kazuma and I scolded her about later.
Today was around a week or two after the battle with the Winter Shogun. I absorbed its skills, allowing myself to use a variety of Snow Magic and the ability to phase through matter as if I was just a mana-based lifeform. I also gained insight to some sword techniques, which I analyzed together with Gli to incorporate into my current skillset.
I levelled up to Level 10 at this point. It wasn't exactly impressive, since Iris was already at level 60. Then again, she was basically forced to consume, like, thousands of growth elixirs so she can be OP for... royalty reasons, I guess. Her brother, Jatis, never made an official debut in the series, but I'm assuming he's even stronger... or not. Anyways, I know that if future Kazuma can defeat the Demon King, and Iris can defeat the Demon Princess, then I need to be a lot stronger than that.
This is just the beginning.
Sliding Verdia's greatsword into the sheath on my back, and grabbing Crispr to attach it to my left hip, I set off towards the adventurer's guild in hopes of having another nice day.

As soon as I stepped through the guild's doors, an uproar rose from a statement made by a white-blonde-haired guy near Kazuma, as if mocking him.
"Hey, say something, weakest job holder. Really, bringing three pretty ladies around, are you planning to create a harem? And all of them have top-tier jobs. You must be creating wonderful memories everyday with these onee-sans, right?"
Huh. Dust, Brydle's Dragon Knight. Interesting to see him interacting with Kazuma this early. Maybe it's one of the parts I missed in the light novel.
I could see Kazuma clenching his fists and holding his anger in. A valiant effort, but even I'm starting to feel a tiny bit pissed. I swept my gaze around the guild, and noticed a few faces out of the laughing crowd, frowning at Dust since they knew of our exploits: taking down a 300 million worth Demon King's General and also the Winter Shogun.
I walked over to the table and saw that Aqua and the others were trying to comfort Kazuma, but Dust continued, and Kazuma snapped at his last statement regarding Kazuma having an absolutely blissful life.
"I'll gladly switch!!" Kazuma yelled. "I said that I would switch with you! Hey, you think I'm a pushover because I didn't say anything, right! Ahhh, that's right, I have the weakest job! I'm fine with that... But you! What did you say after that, you jerk!?"
Dust didn't expect Kazuma's outburst at all, and held up his hands in an awkward defeat, and mustered a response. "After that part? Um, bringing three pretty ladies and creating a harem..."
"Pretty ladies!? Harem!? You said harem!? Hey, are those things in your eye sockets made from glass!? Where are the pretty ladies!? My eyes are bad and can't see any pretty ladies, all right! Why don't you change your glass eyes with my lousy ones!!"
