Keith watched in awe as y/n trained. Her movements were quick, sword slashing through anything that came her way viciously, though it only took a prick in the heart before the bots fell to their knees, almost spellbound by the barbaric beauty. Though sweat gathered on her forehead, all it did was make her shine, in Keith's opinion. The girl he had met on this ship was a marvel, something to be treasured.

Her bayard seemed stronger than anyone else's, her sword impacting the world around her much more than it should. He had, of course, questioned her about it many times, but was told no more than something along the lines of it being an ability her kind had. It was one of the things that had drawn him to her in the first place: maybe she could teach him to be stronger.

After getting to know the h/c sweetheart, however, he discovered his curiosity was more than skin deep. He felt intrigued by her witty humour, and ability to brighten any room she was in. As well as that, he liked that she didn't get agitated by his attitude, but instead strived to make him feel better.

"Keith! Are you listening?", a voice snapped him from his daydreams. Looking up, he met eyes with a certain h/c girl, who gave a small, lopsided smile upon noticing him jump in surprise. "I'll take that as a no,", she laughed. "I was trying to ask if you were ready to switch. I need a break,"

"Uh, yeah. Sure,", he fumbled over his words, rising to his feet and grabbing his bayard out. "Activate training sequence,", the bots started pouring in, Keith taking them out in swift but sudden movements. His focus was elsewhere, meaning he hardly noticed a bot behind him until he heard a laser shooting from behind, making him pause and turn.

"There was a bot behind you, dummy. Might wanna hurry up and turn around before the others take you out,", she smirked, pointing a finger at the two remaining robots behind him. Their training session went smoothly from there on out, and they parted ways once they were finished, y/n going to her old friend, Allura, while Keith headed to Shiro.

"Why does she have to drive me crazy, man? I don't know what it is about her, or why, but I can't get her out of my mind. Am I going crazy?", Keith ranted, running a hand through his mullet and biting his lip. Shiro, perched on his bed in front of the pacing Keith, simply chuckled and shook his head, prompting a stern look from Keith which soon made him calm down.

"You're not going crazy, Keith,", he reassured, gesturing for the boy to sit down. Complying, Keith took a seat on Shiro's desk chair and sat silently. "I think you might like her, that's all. It's completely normal to have a crush on someone,"

"Not in the middle of saving the universe, it isn't,", Keith commented. "Plus, it's not like she'd ever like me. She's determined to avenge hers and Allura's parents, not get into a relationship with one of the paladins that she only meet because of a power-hungry alien,"

"And did she tell you that herself?", Shiro asked, quirking a brow.

"No, but it's not that hard to work out,", the ravenette reasoned, seeing no point in his friend's encouragement of his measly, little crush.

"Maybe try talking to her before you jump to conclusions. You may find that she feels similarly about you,"

"Oh my god, and when he fights it's just so- so--", you paused, swinging your legs slightly as you lay on Allura's bed, recounting your training session with Keith. The older female smiled at you from the other side of the bed. "He's just so mesmerising, Allura. I don't know what to do with myself when he's around,"

"Just be true to one's self, y/n. If you like him, then make sure he's falling for you, and not someone else,", she advised her best friend, patting her leg.
