You sat in Lance's room, sulking after he had beaten you in a game of Mario Kart. The both of you had been eager to play all week, but Allura had kept you all busy, meaning now was one of the only times you could play, and seeing as Keith was busy, that day couldn't have been planned better.

"You stupid sharpshooter", you whined, crossing your arms over your chest playfully. He was laughing his ass off at you, unable to get over how you had somehow managed to hit your hand off of the tv, making it ache. 'All because I tried to turn the tv off after he beat me. Meanie. He could've at least let me win,', you thought.

"Oh, come on, y/n! You beat me every time we play, you can't get sulky when I win,", he managed between cackles. You gave in, laughing hysterically along with him as you put a and to your chest. "See, you know it's funny!", he added.

"Yeah yeah, whatever,", you rolled your eyes, finally getting over your laughing fit. Lance did the same, both of you getting startled when the door was opened, revealing a pissed-looking Keith. You and Lance shared a glance, communicating silently as he nodded towards Keith, telling you to calm him down. You nodded and approached your ravenette boyfriend slowly, tucking a h/c strand of hair behind your ear.

"Hey, baby. What's wrong?", you ask cautiously, placing a delicate hand on his arm.

"Nothing,", he muttered, shrugging your hand off of him. "Just my girlfriend cosying up with another boy,", he raged, walking out of the room and slamming the door. Your jaw dropped, but you had a feeling that wasn't actually what was bothering him.

"What happened?", you turned to Lance, not knowing how to answer his question.

"I have no idea,", you sighed after some time. "I'm really sorry to end the game night, but do you think it would be alright if I went to check on him?", you begged, glancing at the door. He nodded, shooing you out of the room after handing you your hoodie.

You wandered the corridors of the castle, trying to think of where your hothead of a boyfriend could've run off to. You had checked the training room, but not even Shiro was in there. Hunk was the only one in the kitchen, and you doubted he wanted to be around anyone at the minute.

After a few minutes of internal debate, you decided to go to his room and see if he was there. You jogged down the hallway, coming to a stop when you reached Keith's door. To your surprise, you could hear some form of yelling inside, followed by Shiro walking out and slamming the door, taking no notice of you stood there, shellshocked.

Taking a deep breath, you walked into the room, eyes searching until they found your boyfriend sat on the floor, head in his hands as he tugged at his hair. You sat down next to him, resting your head on his shoulder and wrapping your arm around his torso. He flinched at the touch, and you frowned.

"It's just me, relax. You're okay, I'm here,", you comforted.

His muscles relaxed, and he sank into your hold immediately, clutching you as if his life depended on it as he nuzzled into your chest. You heard small sobs escape his lips, making you run your fingers through his hair, soothing him into a calmer state almost instantly. You sat there for a while, holding him in your arms until his sobs were mere sniffles. When he seemed ready, you kissed the top of his head, rubbing his back.

"Do you think you're ready to talk about it now?", you finally ask, and you felt him nod into your chest. "Alright then. I'm here, you can let it all out,", you assured.

"Me and Shiro...", he started, voice muffled in the fabric of your shirt. "We had an argument, and it just got worse before you came in...", he finally admitted, holding you closer than you had thought humanly possible. You sighed, resting your chin atop his raven locks.

"Aw, baby...", you cooed, feeling a tug at your heartstrings. They had always seemed quite close; almost like brothers, some would say. "What did you argue about?", you asked, your voice gentle and full of concern as to not push him too much.

"He told me I was overworking myself and I- I pushed him away instead of listening to him. He got upset with me and I shouted at him, saying he's not my actual brother and he has no reason to care about me so he should just leave", he muttered, and you could practically feel the tears brimming in his eyes.

Grabbing his cheeks, you kissed away the tears and hugged him close again, kissing his shoulder. He cried again, burying his head into your shoulder and letting the tears flow freely. He felt safe with you, and he knew he wouldn't be judged or tossed aside.

After a few minutes, his tears subsided, now replaced with him clinging to you like a moth to a flame. Not that you didn't enjoy it, but you felt he and Shiro needed to resolve their fight because it will have hit both of them hard. You lifted your head from his neck, placing a kiss on his jawline to get his attention. He looked down at you, placing a hand on your cheek as he waited for you to speak.

"I think you should talk to Shiro, Keith. He won't be mad at you, he was just concerned, and we both know you didn't mean a single word of what you said either,", you said, a slight smile tugging at your lips in encouragement. Just as he opened his mouth to respond, his door opened, revealing a teary-eyed Shiro.

"S-Shiro...", Keith mumbled, placing you beside him and standing up, running towards his brotherly figure. They shared a hug, both muttering an apology as they did so. You smiled at the scene, getting slightly emotional yourself. A tear almost slipped from your e/c eyes, but you blinked it away, not wanting to ruin the moment.

Upon breaking apart, Shiro glanced behind Keith, finally noticing the small, h/c girl sat on his bed, smiling like a proud mother. He tensed up and rubbed the back of his neck, slightly embarrassed and ashamed for not noticing you sat there.

"I-I apologise for interrupting you two. I'll see you at training tomorrow, Keith!", he yelled, running out of the room at an inhuman pace. You stared blankly at the door, wondering what the hell had just happened, but it slipped your mind when you felt a pair of lips on yours.

You kissed back, a hand making its way to the back of Keith's neck to fiddle with the baby hairs of his mullet. He held your sides firmly, keeping you in place and caressing them with his thumbs. When you both eventually broke apart, he pulled you onto your feet, hiding his face in your hair.

"Thank you, sunshine,", he whispered, and you could feel his breath fanning over your forehead. You wrapped your arms around his body, inhaling his intoxicating scent.

"For what?", you giggle after a while, enjoying his more sensitive side.

"For being my light in the dark, of course"
