One day I'll set myself free
I'll cut the ropes
Break the chains
And fly away
One day I'll leave this all behind
Spread my wings and enjoy the height
I don't know what kind of storms
Or coldness will be there to destroy
But I rather choose the unknown to face
Than keep on feeling this old pain
Please know that I was trying
Running 'till I couldn't breathe
I thought they already lost me
But the next corner I was trapped in
I just want to close my eyes
With nothing but peace on my mind
My last breaths being calm and steady
I've never felt more ready
But anytime I'd turn in that road
Something hits me in the back of my soul
The last few beautiful smiles
Make me look back on my stride
It's you who still have a hold of my hand
And I'll squeeze it with my last strength
But maybe one day...
I'll set myself free
