"Love?"
A voice from the line snapped the woman out of her reverie, shaking her head and somehow clearing her throat, she hummed as a response
"Hmm?" she put a small smile on her face as if her girlfriend from the other side of the country could see her. Yes, she is in a long-distance relationship for almost a year now. She met her online, and they became friends then confessed that they have feelings for each other and eventually become a couple. Yeah, an internet love!
"You're spacing out, what were you thinking? Are you okay?" worry was evident in her voice, Minjeong could imagine the look on the woman's face. She's still pretty though
"just that" she softly answered
"Tell me.. tell me what's bothering you, baby" there she goes again using her gentlest voice on me, Minjeong thought
"Babyy" the woman on the line pleaded
"Okay okay, I was just thinking about how deeply in love I am with you!" she pouted knowing that her girlfriend would tease her and boast about being 'that' attractive to everyone. Tch! And as expected, a laugh was heard on the line which made Minjeong pout even more.
"Don't think about that too much, love. We both know that you have fallen far too deep with me" Minjeong scoffed hearing her girlfriend's statement which she imagine, is already smirking. She badly wants to wipe that smirk off her face!
"You're so full of yourself, Yu!" she rolled her eyes
"I'm just telling the truth, my love" her knees wobbled hearing the endearment from the woman on the line, her then annoyed face turned into creeping blush. Minjeong was trying her best not to smile, she was biting her bottom lips way too hard that she already can taste faint of her blood. Argh!
"And we also both know that I too have fallen farther and deeper in love with you. More than what you could imagine, baby" from there, Minjeong lost it, she was red as a newly scratched mosquito bite and her cheeks felt like it was about to rip from smiling widely.
"I love you, Minjeong-ah" Damn you, Yu Jimin! Damn you and your words!
"Jimin-ah" she called her
"Yes, baby?"
"I love you more" Minjeong responded full of sincerity. She can feel it in her heart, she has so much love for the woman that it hurts her.
It hurts her that she cannot even touch the woman she loves. It hurts her that she cannot even see her face-to-face. It hurts her that she isn't even sure if she's making her feel loved and appreciated. Fuck our distance!
"Jimin-ah, do you think we'll be able to see each other?" she asked, there was a hint of sadness in her voice. For months, Minjeong had been thinking about that, it had been keeping her wide awake at night. She wonders if she'll ever get to see her girlfriend. She wonders if she'll ever get to hug and kiss her one day. Minjeong wonders if they will ever get to be together even just for a day.
"Oh... I guess that's what you were thinking earlier" she lightly hummed to Jimin
"Well.. ahm I don't know, baby" Minjeong heard a sigh "We aren't certain of what the future might bring but I'm hoping that you and I are still together by the time the universe let us see each other" she smiled hearing her girlfriend's words, there was always something about it that eases her mind every time.
"And you know what, baby, I'm thinking of coming to your province once I graduated. I'll make sure to find you, baby!" Minjeong chuckled, she was shaking her head at her girlfriend's enthusiasm. She for sure loves the idea of Jimin coming to her find and finally being together. God, she fanned herself with her free hand.
