You woke up on a bed. The familiar sheets covering you. This was your room when you had stayed in the palace.
You woke up to see Janus beside you, seemingly staring into nothingness.
"They wanted to kill me and the head guard but Gemma somehow got involved.." Janus spoke before looking at you.
You don't look surprised when Janus suddenly knew when you are awake.
But they're trying to kill Janus and the Head guard.. why?
"Why would they target you? I know you're the leader of the Kingsmen but why?" You asked even with a raspy voice.
"That's what I want to know. They're desperately trying to kill me. They wanted me gone first then they'll move to the head guard."
"Well, that's because you already knew about the poison." You spoke as you sat up. "How long was I out?"
"About 5 hours now." Janus answered, "The two kings were discussing right now about what to do and who they will be."
You just nodded, that's when you heard the door opened. You and Janus turned to see the Isolonis Head Guard.
"Mr. Halo." Janus spoke.
"I'm just here to see if they're alright." He spoke, Sapnap turning to you.
You just gave him a wave, "Still here, alive, I guess?" He just nodded before walking closer to both of you.
"The two kings wanted to talk to your father, to see if he could give his companions away." He spoke yet again.
"He wouldn't talk. I know my father." You replied to him. "He wouldn't talk to me either. So you're only solution to that is either spying or getting him to his most vulnerable level and get him to talk, he's a stubborn old man."
Sapnap nodded before sighing, "I'll tell the two kings immediately, but the question still stands, are you alright? You just passed out, out of nowhere." He spoke with sincere worry.
"I am fine, I was exhausted and a lot was in my head, no need to worry about lil'old me." You smiled at him which he responded with a nod.
"Try to rest for a bit more, Janus will help us with the rest." He softly smiled before walking out of the room.
With a sigh, you turned to Janus who was grinning at you. You groaned knowing what was about to come.
"Did you and him got along while you're there? Hm?" They spoke with a smirk while waving their eyebrows.
You only rolled your eyes at them before looking away. "It's not like that, he's the Head Guard, of course, he will be worried. I'm considered family in Isolone now."
After a while of catching up together, Janus had already left to let you have more rest which you did, but only a considerable amount of sleep.
You woke up yet again to the sound of crickets. You turned to the window, seeing the rays of the moonlight shining down through it.
With a sigh, you stood up and started walking around your room until you made it to the window, looking out of it.
The Blitz's lights are already letting out the kingdom's beautiful scenery of peacefulness and quietness. It was a great view, of course. The kingdom you grew old at. It's like experiencing a new sort of nostalgia.
You turned away from the window when you heard a knock on your door.
"[Y/N]?" The voice of Janus on the other side.
You walked to the door and opened it, seeing Janus still on their Kingsmen outfit.
"Oh! You're awake. Well since you're awake now, let's go to Gemma while I'm not busy." They softly smiled at you.
