Max's pov--->

I walk down the as usual crowded hallways by was getting dirty looks at left and right. I get to my locker that I wish was even bigger so I could hide in. I grab the books for period one then shove the skate board in there.

I see billie walking but I automatically walk away to go to first period. I really don't want to but it's just till the photos settle down.

I'm doing the right thing....right?

I push those thoughts away sitting down in the chair. I grab my ear buds plugging them into my phone. I clicked on spotify and began playing my playlist.

billie walked into the room sitting down next to me then class started. I would love to hang out with her when everything but what Maggie said still runs in my mind.

"your partner will be the person sitting next to you" The teacher told us. I took one earbud out listening to the groans. At one point someone raised their hand.

"can I work with eilish" A boy asked. Billie turned her head to look at the boy. His name in question? Kole.

"I already have a partner" billie glared at him.

"you seriously want to be partners with that hoe" He gave a slight smirk.

"kole you're staying with your partner next to you" the teacher told him. He huffed while some people laughed at him. "The project will be about something you and your partner have in common then you will turn out what you find in"

I yawn sticking my other ear bud back in. Billie tapped my shoulder so I opened my eyes to look at her.

"Lemme listen" she used a grabby hand so I took out my right bud hanging it to her. "What's this song?" She seemed to like the song, which I thought was funny.

"whatshisface by oston" I tell her. (a/n: ik it wasn't released in 2019) she nods as we continue listening. A few minutes later I got a paper thrown at my face. Billie saw it too but I picked it up before he was able to.

get a different partner or ill beat the shit out of you

I knew who it was. Kole. I sighed looking over at him. He was already looking at me. I put on one of the fakest smiles ever and calmly shake my head no. As always he gets angry that he don't get his way.

Billie watched us the whole time which was funny.

"why is he always doing that to you" She poked the paper he tossed.

"oh we use to be the best friends, but I was able to pull a girl he wanted really badly but i didnt date her or anything but then next thing I know, we are enemy's" I shrug telling her what happened years ago.

"that's actually really stupid" I agreed with her grabbing my pencil doodling over the paper. The bell rang so I quickly folded the paper into a airplane.

"watch this" I tap billie's shoulder. I launch the paper airplane into the air hitting kole directly in the back of his head. He turned around looking at me while I had a smirk on my face.

"nice shot" Billie told me pushing my arm as we walk in the hall.

"Thanks" I get back to my locker opening it. When I saw my skateboard snapped into two I wanted to scream. I swallowed hard as I saw it fall out of the locker in font of my feet.

I bawled up my fist looking around for kole. He did this I know he did.

"Fucking bitch" I start getting madder the more I look.

"its just a skateboard max" Billie told me. I looked at her.

"its not jUsT a SkAtEbOrEd" I mocked her. "I'll see you later" I shove the board into my bag then slammed my locker. I stormed out of the school.
