26. "can we get a photo"

"Thanks for meeting me fin" I thanked him then we sat. Billie was somewhere, I don't know where. She never told me.

"anytime, so what did you need to talk about" he sipped on his coffee he ordered.

"Billie, I don't know what I should get her for her birthday" I tap the straw on the table getting the paper off. I stuck it in the glass of root beer I got.

"Get her something that you think would be special to her" he suggests. A waiter comes up to us with a notepad.

"Hi what can I get you folks today" She starts but soon looks up. "Oh my god your finneas and your billie eilish's girlfriend" She shreeks. We both nod.

"I'll just have some fries please" I tell her as she writes it down. She gives me a big smile then turns to finneas.

"ill take the same thing" finneas tells her. She does a little spin giggling then walks off. "you sure are becoming a little famous" finneas sets his coffee down.

"yeah, I kinda like it but mostly don't like the attention" I chuckle while playing with the straw. "also" I whisper almost. "billie's been getting a little distant the past two days and she's always on her phone" I look at the little bubbles from the soda escape through the ice.

"I'll talk to her if you want. She tells me just about everything" I give him. A gentle smile. The waitress comes back with our fries setting them down.

"enjoy your food" She smiles a toothy smile then walks back to other customers.

"so how's you and your sister doing" he crunches on a fri.

"we've been getting along. We started fixing the house and getting new furniture with both of our money" I grab some ketchup putting it on the side. Finneas laughs a little. "What's so funny?"

"you just reminded me of billie a few years ago" He laughs. I raise a brow to his comment. "in a interview a few years back she got mad. It was about fries and ketchup. I probably could find the video." He pulls out his phone.

"im vegan and gluten free. Kay? My choices are very slim. Some things I can eat are, ketchup. Fries. And you fools don't have any ketchup"

I laugh looking at the silver haired billie getting angry. "I guess you can really Google anything about her" I sit back in my seat.

"it can get pretty annoying too" He eats a little more. I dip a fri in ketchup eating it.

"How's your music going" I ask him. He looks up at me.

"It's good, I'm not as famous as billie but I still enjoy getting my music out there"

"when's the next song coming then" I grab my cup.

"I don't now yet. Still working on some stuff" I nod. A few people look at us and I look at them. It was a group of girls not much away from my age.

"Your billie's girlfriend!" one yelled. It got on my nerves but I waved a little. They walked over which I regretted instantly.

"can we get a photo?" Another girl asked. I look over at finneas then he shrugs. I roll my eyes a little putting on a fake smile which was as fake as my grandmas teeth.

"Of course" They huddled around then took the photo.

"Thank you so much!" They gave me a hug, hated that. Then left.

"that looked so fake" finneas laughed a little to loud. I raised my eyebrows and laughed to. I continued with my food until it was gone.

"If you want we can go shopping together, I have to get bil something still" he crumbled up the paper that the food was in.

"sure lets do it" I didn't give it a second thought. I got up leaving a tip while finneas paid for our stuff. I told him I could but he didn't listen so we agreed on the tip. Just like his sister.

"so where do we go first" He asked while we got into his car.

"do you want to check out the stores at a mall?" I look over at him.

"Sounds good. Make sure you're ready to be social though" I push his shoulder then he headed off. I grabbed my earbuds from my pocket plugging them in. I look through songs then just decide to play ilomilo.

"what are you listening to" Finneas watches me tap my leg.

"ilomilo" I laugh. He does so to. "I love it"

We pull into the parking lot of the mall getting out. We walk through the mall looking at everything and soon we both find things to get billie. We got asked to take photos with people too which of course was annoying.

We head back to finneas's place. He agreed I can keep the present there and my car is there too.

"thanks fin for the day" I give him a hug then headed to my car. He waved me off then I went back to me and auroras house.

"I'm back" I yell a little taking off my hoodie. I get no answer which means auroras probably at work. I go to the kitchen grabbing some water then head up to my room.

I throw my jacket over my shoulder with the glass in my hand. I open the door instantly dropping my glass causing it to shatter.
