25. Chip

Max's pov--->

"Cameron"

"wait" i pull my phone out going to my gallery looking for the only Cameron I know. Chip. "Is this him?" I flip my phone around.

"That's him but how do you have his picture?"

"he's my best friend aurora" Her mouth dropped instantly. She processed the information and so did I. My sister has a THING for my best friend.  "How did you and chip even meet"

"chip?"

"That's what i call him" she nods.

"We went to school together when i was in school"

"Wait, wait wait" I stand up looking down at her. "Your telling me, you knew my best friend since your ancient school" I slip my phone back into my pocket looking around.

"Yeah?" I chew my lip again. It makes sense now, there was always someone else's things in his room. Sometimes there was a smell I didn't recognize. It was aurora the whole time.

I began laughing. Do i know why? Nope, not really.

Aurora started laughing with me. Its just so funny now.

"What's been up with your life" Aurora asks once we catch our breath.

"Well I'm a senior this year. I got a job. Got a new car, got a girlfriend" I chuckle.

"Your girlfriend is a fucking celebrity too" Aurora throws her hand up in the air.

"I actually didn't know she was a celebrity when I met her" I go through when i met her officially.

"what's your name by the way" she fixes the beanie to look correct but still is eyeing me.

"it's max, what's yours" I lean up against the wall examining her head to toe.

"Billie" She is now fixing her whole outfit as in adjusting her pants, and shirt again.

"that's sick, I like the name" I pull my phone out of my bag. Its already been a hour.

"what do you mean ' officially '" Aurora is peaking more into the billie thing than anything else. Not surprised though.

"Well uh" i try to remember. Thats when i did.

After I get through the crowd I run behind the building not risking it and bump into someone, dropping the bottle.

"I'm sorry" She says picking the bottle up.

"it's fine, sorry for bumping into you" I apologize finally looking up.

"It was a few months ago like September and I was doing something" I'm not telling her about me stealing food. "I was running with a root beer in my hand and I bumped into her" I laugh a little. "I dropped my root beer while she was going to a van then she ran back giving me it again"

"That is one of the cutest things I've heard" She cooed. I rolled my eyes. "so what are we doing with this place" she raises her hands in the air.

"I'm going to buy it" my green eyes meet her hazel ones.

"you're joking" She laughed. I kept a straight face while she laughed away. "Oh shit, you're not. Wait how"

"I've saved money" I fold my arms across my chest.

"I can still stay here right?" she looked around. Her cheeks do the same as what mom does. They go a slight pink which means she's nervous.

"yeah for a little while, it'll be my house though" I wink at her.

"so now are we going to clean this place or nah?"

"yes let's get to work" we began cleaning stuff but I told aurora my room and mom's room is off limits. I made sure I had a both the doors locked too.

"I'm putting some music on!" Aurora yells from the kitchen.

"no Grande shit" I yell back. I'm not a hater if Ariana but I just don't like her music.

"then what do you want to listen to! Except your girlfriend!" I laugh a little.

"Put on my playlist" she does so and we continue. The first song to come on is, 505 by Arctic monkeys. I grab the broom sweeping everything until I recognize what lyric is up next.

"Aurora" I look at her she knew what I was going to do.

"And i crumple completely when you cry! it seems like once again you've greet me with a goodbye!" We scream in unison while I use the end of the broom for a fake microphone.

When it finishes there's a knock at the door. I fix my tang top opening the door.

"hey baby" She puts her hands around my neck.

"hey" I smile leaning in to kiss her.

"ahem" aurora clears her throat.

"what? You want me to invite chip so you get some dick?" I look at aurora. Her faces goes red then billie and I laugh.

"I heard you guys screaming" Billie took her arms away looking around. Coconut perfume by ray laurél played gently in the background.

"we were screaming to Arctic monkeys" Aurora tell her.

"And didn't invite me?" She stuck her hands in the air. "You both are hoes" She begins walking out. I grab her wrist spinning her around to look at me. She bites her lip looking at my lips.

"later" I whisper in her ear. I felt the goosebumps on her skin.

"wanna help us carry this couch out" Aurora asks walking over to it.

"sure! Don't mind getting dirty" she rolls up her sleeves.

"your birthday is in 3 days" I look at billie.

"And?" She plays on her phone.

"What do you want for your birthday or something you want to do" I roll over to face her completely.

"I don't need anything" she continues to focus on her phone. I sigh getting up. I shake my head when I look back at her still on her phone.

"what's up" Aurora greets me in the hallway.

"I'm just going to go sit outside" I didn't even think to grab a blanket or hoodie.

"Want company?" I shrug so she follows. "so what's up for real" she looks at me when we sit on the freezing chairs.

"Billie's been on her phone the whole night, and it sounds so fucking stupid but it seems like I don't exist to her right now" I rib my temple a little.

"she might be doing her tour thing or whatever she's doing now"

"yeah probably" I agree looking out at the cars passing by. "her birthday is in three days" I don't look at her.

"I know, max she's famous everyone knows her birthday" I sigh nodding.

"right, forgot" I see a flash come from a bush to my right. I squint seeing a dude. "Fucking paparazzi" I go back inside, shutting all the curtains in front of the windows.

"famous sister now too huh" She pokes my side.

"I guess so"
