30. Ray

Max's pov--->

When I walk in school I get so many looks. From people giving me a 'what the hell' look to an 'omg I feel so bad' look. I lean more into billie while she is walking with me. She grabs my hand interlacing our fingers.

"I'll see you at lunch okay?" She stood with me when I got at my locker.

"yeah I know" I grabbed my book from the locker. She kisses me on the cheek walking away. I felt a hand on my shoulder. "kole" I grumble looking up at him.

"I'm not going to do anything max" he leans against the locker.

"well, well, well, look who's back." Kole slams his hand against the locker beside me.

"then what do you want" I shut my locker still paying attention to him.

"How are you doing?" He rubbed the back of his neck. I think my face went some confused mod because I'm just staring at him. "Max?"

"I'm fine how bout you" I adjust the bag on my back. "C'mon, talk and walk" I begin walking. He follows close behind.

"I'm good as gold" He gives a flashy smile.

"glad to hear it" I open the door to the class room and head to my seat. Once the bell goes off and the teacher walks in, she looks at all of us instantly.

"We have a new student today" In comes waking a shortish girl, long brown flowing hair, little button nose, glasses planted on her face, Carmel like skin. "Her name is" she pauses.

"Just call me ray" She gave a weak smile. She looked around for a empty seat and the only open seat happen to be by me.

"have a seat ray" I look at her when she walks up. She sits down letting a smell of Cherrys and oak wood fill my nose.

"hey" She whispered at me. I was paying attention to my phone more then the class. I look up at her my eyes looking into her light brown eyes.

"Hey" I close my phone.

"where's this class" She hands me her schedule. I scan the page looking it all down.

"I'll show you, we have the same schedule" I hand it back to her. She smiles gently. "So what does ray stand for" I slouch in my hand.

"rayven" She laughs. "It's not spelled the usual way, my parents decided to not spell it correctly" I nod looking back at the teacher. "Your name?"

"max"

"is it short for anything" I look back at her.

"nope, but I get nicknames to replace it" she makes a 'o' shape with her mouth. I yawn grabbing my ear buds and phone again. I go on spotify putting on 'someone will love you better' on then stick the ear buds in. I lean back in my seat closing my eyes.

"Max" Billie ran up to me like its the first time she ever saw me. She kisses me on my lips then takes my hand.

"hey bil" She laughs then turn to rayven.

"Who's this" she looks at her. Ray's face goes pale as fuck.

"You're billie. So that means max is the secret girlfriend" she whispers the last sentence very quietly. She covers her face with her hand. Billie and I look at each other. "I'm ray"

They shake hands then we sit at the lunch table. Billie sat next to me while ray sat across. Billie grabbed a bag from taco bell.

"do you want one?" Billie asks her but she looks disgusted.

"I don't like burritos" Mine and billie's jaw dropped looking at her.

"you must be joking" Billie half whispers. "It's like a law to not like burritos" she dug into one. We had a conversation about burritos the whole time at lunch until the bell rang.

We go to the next class. Me and billie sit in our usual spot while ray looked around for somewhere to sit.

"just grab a chair and sit anywhere" The teacher told her. She did so and sat in front of us but turn the chair to face us. I was getting my ear buds out while billie got her notebook out.

"Are you really going to sleep?" Ray looked at me going to my playlist. I pull my hood up looking at her.

"she always does" Billie joined in. I laugh then grab billie's hand pulling it into my folded arms like I'm hugging it.

"how do you not get annoyed of me" I look at her. My head laid on her hand and her fingers stuck out.

"Because I love you" she leaned down whispering it in my ear. I felt my spine shiver.

"I love you too" I closed my eyes letting the music I started playing take over.

Billie's pov--->

Max fell asleep already while I continue taking notes.

"Wait is max your girlfriend?" Ray asked me. I look down at max while she adjusts herself.

"Yeah" I continue moving the pen across the paper. She continues looking at me but looks away after I look up.

"You guys are cute together" She admits after a few minutes.

"We've been told that a lot" I let a small chuckle out. Soon the class rings which means time to wake up max. I take my hand back then shake her. "get up" I whisper. She groans like always when someone wakes her. I roll my eyes snaking my arms around her waist lifting her up.

She shoots me a glare once she stands up. "I'm taking a nap when we get home" she yawned. Ray looked at me when max said that.

"you guys live together??" she looks between us.

"well, not technically but we usually are together at either one of our houses" max comments.

Ray is a little... What's the word, weird? Suspicious? She looks too close like Brandon.

"ill catch you guys later" ray tells us looking down at her phone then runs out. As I said, weird.

We walk outside to my car getting in.
