22. "you just ate dirt"

Max's pov--->

"how much longer" billie looks out the window.

"I have to park then ill show you" I find a spot in some hidden part and stop the car. I get out feeling the cold wind swarm me like a ice blanket.

"it's so fucking cold" Billie holds her arms walking towards me. I open my arms which she gladly accepted.

"do you want me to carry you child" She nodded under my chin. Grabbing her legs I picked her up carrying her to the spot. Its especially pretty when the sun is going down. In this case I'm lucky because its starting to lower. I walk for about three minutes till I find a stone to sit on.

"Hold me" is what billie tells me when I sit. I continue to hold her close to me.

"Turn around, this is why I brought you here" Billie does so and looks around with pure, curiosity, and amazement.

"It's so pretty" Her smile brightens up more then the sun that's setting. You can see the buildings in LA turn to black while the lights start to kick on.

"C'mon" I grab her hand pulling her up with me. I run towards a hill a little further out. Billie looked confused as to why I made her run here. "And now we run" I let go of her hand running down the hill. I almost face plant into the hill but land in my side rolling down the rest of the way.

"are you okay!" I hear billie yell. I laugh hard almost to where it was silent. I kept laughing for a long minute before I answered.

"yeah! C'mon!" I get up not bothering to brush myself off.

"You just ate dirt why would I want to do that!" She raises her hands in the air.

"Because ill catch you! Please" she starts to back away then I see her run down the hill. Her green roots follow behind her in the cold air. Her bright smile escapes her mouth until she hits something and starts to fall. I grab her landing on my back.

"See got you" I wheeze. We both began laughing in unison. "Now was it fun" She sat up on my lap.

Billie punched my arm "yes it was"

"told you" she scrunch her nose then leans down. Our lips connected for a split second.

"c'mon I want to do it again" She gets off of me, sticking her hand out like a child.

"Okay, just don't eat dirt, or rock" I wipe my shirt off.

"Alright mrs. Resilient"

"it's been long since you've said that"

"Its best to be used in your very dumb actions dude" She pushes my shoulder as we walk to the top.

"Your doing it to 'dude'" She rolls her eyes while I mock her.

"Three, two, one"

After we do it a couple of times and falling on our faces we get back to the car. I sit on the hood watching the little bit of stars that peaks though.

"I haven't seen stares since I was in England" I look around a little bit.

"you've been to England?"

"well yeah, some of my family is still there"

My back is against the window shield while billie is laying on my chest with my arms around her waist.

"Oh right you said your family moved here." I smile.

"you remembered" I lick my lips letting them not get so cracked.

"Well of course, you're mine and I'm yours. So why wouldn't I remember something" She looks up at me. She lifts her hand to poke my nose. "you also have a pretty smile"
