"Um, Miss Lynn, I have a request." Xie Lian hesitantly said with a small awkward smile.

"What is it, your highness?" Lynn asked with a curious look as the prince she knew never really had requests.

"Um, can we skip the unimportant parts of my stay in San Lang's house?" Xie Lian requested.

"Sure but why?" Lynn agreed with a raised brow.

"...I feel guilty." Xie Lian admitted without looking at anyone else. "San Lang has been kind to me all this time and my future self repays it by betraying him."

"Gege." Hua Cheng sighed fondly. "I told you already that I don't mind it. Besides, it wasn't out of your will since you were basically ordered to do it by your lord."

"Still, that doesn't excuse my actions." Xie Lian firmly said. "I'm sor-"

Hua Cheng shushed the prince by placing his index finger on Xie Lian's lips. "There's no need for apologies between us, gege."

"Let's just skip and watch!" Mu Qing ordered as Feng Xin ripped Hua Cheng away from the prince.

"Alright." Lynn clapped her paws twice to gain everyone's attention. "Your first secret will be revealed, your highness. However, I want all of you to wait for the whole explanation before jumping to conclusions, okay? Those that don't listen will be punched."

When everyone nod in agreement, Lynn smiled in satisfaction before turning the show on.

Ch.44:‌ ‌Paradise‌ ‌to‌ ‌Ashes;‌ ‌The‌ ‌Second‌ ‌Coming‌ ‌of‌ ‌Fang‌ ‌Xin‌ ‌ ‌

Xie‌ ‌Lian‌ ‌didn't‌ ‌think‌ ‌Shi‌ ‌Qing‌ ‌Xuan‌ ‌would‌ ‌suddenly‌ ‌light‌ ‌a‌ ‌fire‌ ‌and‌ ‌didn't‌ ‌even‌ ‌have‌ ‌the‌ ‌time‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌him‌ ‌before‌ ‌it‌ ‌was‌ ‌too‌ ‌late.‌

"Lord wind master, why would you light a fire in San Lang's house?!" Xie Lian exclaimed in shock.

"No, first of all, why are you setting places on fire!" demanded Wu Du, forgetting that they were watching the future because he was too worried.

"Stupid, this is the future." Pei Ming mocked, only to be hit on the head by the embarrassed Wu Du. Not that it was shown because he covered his face with his fan.

 The‌ ‌flames‌ ‌were‌ ‌exceedingly‌ ‌bright‌ ‌and‌ ‌revealed‌ ‌the‌ ‌silhouette‌ ‌of‌ ‌a‌ ‌black‌ ‌clad‌ ‌man.‌ ‌The‌ man‌ ‌in‌ ‌black‌ ‌had‌ ‌his‌ ‌head‌ ‌hung‌ ‌low‌ ‌against‌ ‌the‌ ‌stone‌ ‌wall‌ ‌at‌ ‌the‌ ‌end‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌path,‌ ‌his‌ ‌face‌ ‌as‌ ‌white‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌sheet,‌ ‌his‌ ‌hair‌ ‌a‌ ‌mess;‌ ‌but‌ ‌underneath‌ ‌that‌ ‌unkemptness‌ ‌was‌ ‌a‌ ‌pair‌ ‌of‌ ‌eyes‌ ‌that‌ ‌shone‌ ‌with‌ ‌determination,‌ ‌like‌ ‌burning‌ ‌ice.‌

Qing Xuan paled, glancing at He Xuan who was watching without a care. In fact, the secret ghost looked hungry, slouching on the seat with a deadpan expression.

'That's right, I might be wrong.' Qing Xuan thought, taking a deep breath to calm her beating heart. 'I must have been overthinking things; I can't even see the person's face properly! Yes, there's no way that's Ming-xiong.'

Although‌ ‌he‌ ‌sat‌ ‌cross‌ ‌legged‌ ‌without‌ ‌a‌ ‌trace‌ ‌of‌ ‌discomfort,‌ ‌the‌ ‌stench‌ ‌of‌ ‌thick‌ ‌blood‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌air‌ ‌indicated‌ ‌he‌ ‌was‌ ‌gravely‌ ‌wounded,‌ ‌and‌ ‌was‌ ‌obviously‌ ‌imprisoned‌ ‌here.‌ ‌His‌ ‌"I‌ ‌have‌ ‌nothing‌ ‌to‌ ‌say"‌ ‌was‌ ‌probably‌ ‌him‌ ‌mistaking‌ ‌them‌ ‌for‌ ‌interrogators.‌ ‌
