PS: What's your favorite MXTX book? Between MDZS and TGCF (since I haven't read SVSSS yet), I personally prefer TGCF better (hence why I wrote a reaction story for it ><)
PPPS: Have you read SVSSS? How is it? Because I have a friend who recommends it and I do want to read it but I've seen spoilers that seems extremely angsty and I have not recovered from 2ha sooo yeah ahahaha! I wanna see if my heart will break for the main characters again or not (though after reading MXTX's two books, I'm placing my bet on the fact that it's very angsty, too.)

Wu Du glanced at Qing Xuan who wouldn't talk to him after the fight they had during the break.
'Why can't Qing Xuan understand?' Wu Du thought with a bitter feeling. 'I don't want to lose my only sibling. I rather die than let you go.'
Similarly, Qing Xuan glanced at Wu Du with a small frown.
'Brother is too stubborn,' he thought bitterly. 'I don't want to disturb you and cause you to fall. I rather face this challenge alone and wait for you to shine brighter.'
Shi Qingxuan returned to being serious and continued, "I want to try and see if I could take care of that thing myself. Your Highness also has more experience, so are you free? If not, don't force yourself."
Shi Qingxuan had helped Xie Lian out many times before in the past, and now that he had an emergency and came to him for assistance, there was no way Xie Lian could decline and say he had the heart but not the power.
Xie Lian nodded, "Wind master has helped me a lot of times, it would be rude of me to decline."
"I helped you because I wanted to," Qing Xuan waved off. "You shouldn't think of it as a debt you must repay."
"Then," Xie Lian smiled. "Think of my help as one made by a friend."
Qing Xuan's eyes widened for a bit before she laughed, "Then I will accept it with no worries."
'They became so close in such a short time,' some thought.
'Perhaps it's because both of them are similar to each other,' Yushi Huang thought. 'Both are kind-hearted cheerful officials with a heavy past. One haunted by the reverend, another haunted by his nation's fall.'
However, Hua Cheng came from faraway as a guest and hadn't even stayed for more than a few days. If he left, who's going to host Hua Cheng? Although it wasn't like he was a very good host.
