"Alright everyone, let's continue watching." Lynn said as she clapped her hands, forcing the people who were either lying down on the ground or not in the room to appear back to their place.
"Damn it, I was going to grab some snacks." Qi Rong glared.
"You're too slow." Lynn heartlessly said. "I gave you all three hours and you weren't able to get something from the fridge that's like one room away?"
"Here." Xie Lian shared some snacks he got to Qi Rong who hesitantly took it.
Ch.48: Adroit Dice for the Safety of Only One
Seeing its state, Xie Lian unconsciously reached out, wanting to pet it, "What's wrong..."
But Hua Cheng side stepped and turned his body slightly, avoiding Xie Lian's touch, and smacked hard on the hilt, "Nothing's wrong. Don't mind it."
"San Lang." Xie Lian said while looking at Hua Cheng with a slightly disappointed gaze.
"Don't worry, Gege, it won't get hurt from that small smack." Hua Cheng assured.
After getting smacked soundly, the cursed blade scimitar E-Ming, feared by all in the heavens, shook even harder.
The gaze of Xie Lian became even heavier for Hua Cheng who silently cursed the scimitar.
Just then, Xie Lian heard Feng Xin again in the communication array: "How did Hua Cheng connect the Distance Shortening Array to the heavenly court?! How do we open this door?!"
Shi Qing Xuan cried, "General Nan Yang! Me, me, me! I think I know how! His Highness and I suffered this trick of Hua Cheng's when we were on our mission. Take two dice and toss them before the door, then push to see if it'll open."
"It's not going to be that easy." some said in unison.
"Knowing crimson rain, I won't be surprise if the dice only works for his highness and will be a death trap for others." Ling Wen said, causing Feng Xin, Mu Qing and Qing Xuan to hope their future selves weren't stupid enough to use the dice without Xie Lian or at least won't suffer too much.
Xie Lian remembered. Wasn't he casually tossing dice for fun earlier in the main hall? He could still recall clearly having run pathetically for their lives in that earthworm cave and from those cannibal savages, if they really did open the doors, who knows what other calamities await them? He cried hurriedly, "Stop! Don't! Be careful!"
"I'm betting that they don't here his highness and suffers." Pei Ming immediately said with a glint in his eyes.
"Shut it." Mu Qing scowled, a heavy feeling in his heart.
