Chapter 16 : The Meeting.

Viena's POV.

With the call of lola hindi ko talaga alam kung bakit sya nagpatawag ng isang emergency meeting. I mean everything seems fine in our company. This call is kinda' weird.

Nagdrive ako papunta sa building namin and pumasok na ako. And nagelevator na ako para mas mapabilis. Sigurado naghihintay na yung mga board of directors doon.

I waited a minute para makarating sa top floor. Nandon kasi yung conference room namin which is ginaganapan ng mga meetings about this company.

Tinitignan ko palang yung glass window nakikita ko na yung mga board of directors and si lola na nagsasalita. So i quickly opened the door, pero nakatingin lang sila sakin without saying a word or goodafternoon manlang.

Not until i realized na nadala ko pala yung pagkain ko sa loob ng conference room. I was so embarassed i just looked at my food then nagdahan dahang umupo.

"Im... im sorry. I was just... you know... hungry" i smiled awkwardly.

"Anyway. With Viena in here shall we talk about the company?" lola said while looking at the directors "Well i did not call this meeting just because i wanted to because that'll be ridiculous isn't it? I called this meeting because i will be stepping down the position of CEO. So it mean that the new CEO of this company is my Grand daughter. Viena Louise Gallando," lola said "is there any violent reactions? Any objections?"

"No Thalia. With Viena's leadership the company growth is just too fast and i think she deserves the position completely" one of the director said.

"I agree. And the employees is not stressed in their workplace. Viena is a really great CEO" one of the director followed up.

I was soooo flattered right now and i don't even know how to react. I'm the official CEO of this company. And i'm so proud of myself for achieving this kind of position. I think i deserve it naman. Kaya nakakatuwa.

Everyone clapped with lola's announcement and nilapitan ako ni lola then she hugged me "Congrats apo. Proud ako sayo" bulong nya while hugging me.

I just hugged lola tightly as a sign of saying thank you. Lola is one of the person na tinaas ako nung nawala si ate. I don't even know how to thank her anymore.

Isa isa nang lumabas yung mga board of directors but bago sila umalis then shaked my hand saying congratulations to me. I just smiled and tuloy tuloy na yung magagandang nangyayari. Unang una pupunta ako sa pilipinas to meet my mom and dad. Although business trip talaga yon but it's one of the reason kung bakit ako excited makapunta sa pilipinas. To see my mom.

Umupo muna ako sa conference room then minasahe ko yung ulo ko dahil sa tuwa. I can't even tell kung gaano ako kasaya ngayon.

"Congrats apo, CEO kana!" lolo cheered.

I smiled while looking at lola "Thank you so much for all of this lola. Mahal na mahal po kita"

"Mahala na mahal din kita apo" lola said while smiling at me.

"Bakit po pala kayo bumaba sa pwesto? Ano pong nangyari?"

"Ah yon ba?" lola said then umupo muna sya "I just felt like it? You know apo. Managing a hospital and a company is not that easy. I need to step down a little bit. Matanda na ako masyado" lola smiled.
