Liam had been avoiding Theo like the plague, for the past week and a half, he both wanted to kiss him and punch him in his pretty face, but he wasn't gonna do either. If Theo wanted to pretend it never happened, then Liam was going to do just that, he could do it easily, too.

Or at least, that's what he kept telling himself.

Theo had waited multiple times outside of school, all for Liam, but Liam never once acknowledged him for it, he would always either walk home, or go with Mason and Corey. Completely leaving Theo out. Theo of course, understood why Liam was acting this way, but he was also sure that Liam would be angry it happened, angry to defy his Alpha, angry at Theo. He was fully expecting his nose to be broken again, but that never came. Instead, Theo no longer existed in Liam's world, he was alone once again.

I guess this is what happens when you feel things.

Theo thought to himself, sighing as Liam glanced over, before quickly turning his attention back to Mason, who looked quite confused at the whole thing. There was tension in the parking lot, and they weren't even close to each other, even Mason could pick up on it, and he didn't have any enhanced senses.

"Dude, what happened between you two?" Mason asked, looking between Liam and Theo across the parking lot.

"Nothing! I keep telling you that!" Liam grumbled and began to walk away.

"This isn't nothing, I thought you liked him?" Mason asked, confused at the way his best friend was acting.

"I do! But if he wants to pretend, then I'll pretend."

Mason was even more confused now, than before. Pretend? Pretend what? What were they pretending?

"What? Did you two make out or something?" Mason asked jokingly.

He got a grumble in response.

"So you did. Did you like it? Is Theo a good kisser?"

"We did.. more.." Liam quietly spoke.

Mason's eyes went wide in response, mouth agape, as he stared at his best friend.

"Dude.. how was it?" Immediately, Mason thought they'd had sex, but well, he definitely wasn't wrong.

"Amazing, but..." Liam sighed "I woke up, he was gone. Just a note telling me to forget it ever happened."

"You need to talk to him."

"Like hell I do!" Liam threw his hands up in anger.

"Yes, you do. You can't forget it and you were so close before, right? Maybe talking it out with him will help." Mason tried to reason, he didn't like how this whole situation was affecting Liam.

A sigh escaped Liam once more "Fine, fine.. Just give me some time and I'll talk to him." he finally agreed.

"Good."

Mason wanted to say more, like how obvious it was that they were two idiots, completely in love with each other, but he held his tongue, knowing Liam would argue with him. Even if it was as clear as day.

Another week passed, and Liam had noticed some changes. Theo continued to wait outside for Liam, every day after school, but he seemed duller, like he wasn't taking care of himself properly.

Was that my fault?

Every time Liam saw Theo waiting for him, he wanted nothing more than to go over there to the chimera, but something always stopped him, that something being his stubbornness.
