Liam felt like shit. His sickness has returned, his back is hurting constantly despite his enhanced healing - as if he truly believed that would help him, it hasn't so far - and he felt absolutely huge despite only being 15 weeks. To top it all off, he didn't have his emotional support chimera by his side, Theo is at work. Liam's life is hard.

Liam continued to empty his stomach contents out into the toilet bowl. Alone. No one by his side to pity him, and thought about what he must've done that was so bad to deserve this torture.

He wiped his mouth, getting up a little too quickly, and almost falling backwards into the shower. That would've been a fun way to die. Liam brushed his teeth, and just returned to bed to scroll through his phone once more. No energy to really do anything else.

Starving as he was, Liam wasn't as dumb as some people made him out to be, he knew food would just anger his already unhappy stomach further, so he continued to ignore the cravings, putting himself in a bad mood for when Theo came home.

This was all Theo's fault, anyways.

As he was scrolling, a call came through. Mom.

Liam dropped his phone in shock. He would've never expected her to call him, after kicking him out, what does she even want? He doesn't care, its her loss, anyway. Liam's amazing.

Then, a text message came through.

'I'm sorry for how I reacted'

Liam rolled his eyes. It's not like Liam was expecting to tell them and it be all happy and rainbows, he was expecting her to be angry and shocked, but he wasn't expecting her to turn her back on him. Which is exactly what she did.

'Please answer me, I need to know you're okay'

He read over the message a few more times, thinking this was some sick prank. But she was his mother, she wouldn't do something like that, and before Liam could stop himself, he was already typing out his reply.

'i'm fine.'

Simple, and it lets her know what she wants to know. That should be the end of it.

'Please answer'

And then another incoming call came through. Should he? After the shit she'd put him through? Liam didn't really have much time to think, already tapping accept and bringing his phone to his ear.

"Hello?" Oh wow, Liam sounds almost as bad as he feels right now, great.

"Liam, how are you? Please tell me you're doing okay. You sound sick."

Well no shit, he's well aware of that. His mom sounds.. worried, though. He wasn't expecting that.

"Uh, yeah. I've been throwing up." god damnit this is awkward.

"Morning sickness?"

Oh how lovely, she remembers that part too.

"I guess. I thought it stopped."

There was silence on the other end for a bit, then Liam heard his step - dad's voice, asking his mom who she was talking to. She told him no one. No one. Liam was a no one. But maybe, she's not really supposed to be talking to him right now? Seems a little weird.

"Sorry about that.. I'd like to meet you, if that's okay. I understand if you don't want to see me again after everything I did."

Liam paused. Did he want to see his mom? Well, yeah, definitely yes. But would it be a bad idea? Liam doesn't know.

"I truly am sorry, Liam. You'll always be my little boy, no matter if you're a werewolf, some other supernatural creature, or just a human. You're still Liam."
