Liam wasn't quite sure what, but something was definitely wrong, and not with him, but with Theo. At first, Liam thought that maybe it was because he was getting closer to that time, and Theo was having a last - minute freak out. But it seemed more than that, and fuck Theo because he never shares what he's feeling, and it pisses Liam off immensely.

See, it's been a few days since Lydia threw the baby shower, and for the first day, Theo seemed pretty chill - as far as chill goes with Theo. But after that, he seemed a little distant, maybe a little snippy at times, and it was almost like he was suddenly the one with IED, and not Liam.

So fucking confusing.

Sure, Theo was still there for Liam, still made sure Liam was okay, and all that normal caring shit he usually does. You know, pretend not to care, but actually care way more than you let on? But it was like Theo was going through one of those episode thingies again, and Liam was kind of scared he would end up finding Theo in that same state he found him in a few months ago.

Liam was worried about engaging in conversation with Theo, last time he did that he got yelled at, and then started crying. Theo seemed to realise what he'd done, but instead of comforting Liam, left the apartment for an hour.

Was Liam supposed to call someone? He really had no clue what to do. He just wanted Theo to be okay, and maybe open up to him a little more, that way Liam could help whenever Theo seemed to be like this in the future.

Liam sat in the bedroom, quiet tears falling down his cheeks as he listened to Theo in the shower. He was purposely keeping an eye on Theo this time, if any change in his heartrate happened, Liam would be in there like the flash, pregnant or not.

As soon as he heard the shower turn off, Liam wiped his tears, trying his best to calm himself down, knowing Theo would enter the room soon enough.

And it didn't take long.

Theo entered shortly after, towel wrapped around his waist. Liam quickly hid his face, knowing he probably looks a mess. He hoped Theo just took it as him being embarrassed, or something like that. Liam gets embarrassed a lot, it's not unusual, it should work just fine.

"Liam? Are you okay?" fuck.

"Yeah." Liam croaked out from underneath the covers.

"Will you let me see your face?"

Liam let out a shaky breath as he felt the bed dip, slowly uncovering his head to be met with Theo's concerned face.

"What's wrong, Little Wolf?" Theo asked, concern evidence in his voice.

"You. You're what's wrong."

Theo opened his mouth to say something, but shut it back up quickly. He had no idea how to respond, nor any idea what Liam was talking about. Was this Liam breaking up with him?

"What's wrong, Theo?" Liam asked, choking back a sob as he did.

Oh. Maybe he shouldn't jump to conclusions.

"Nothing."

"Don't give me that bullshit." Liam yelled tears streaming down his face, as anger began to overtake him "Something's wrong, and I wanna know what it is before I find you the way I did before!"

Theo closed his eyes, letting out a breath "Liam, calm down. Stress isn't good for you or the baby."

"Don't change the subject." Liam snapped "You need to start communicating, else this isn't going to work."

Theo froze, staring at Liam with wide eyes. He knew Liam was right, he really did. But it was difficult for him to talk about his past.

Theo took a deep breath in through his nose, closing his eyes as a million thoughts passed through his mind "Okay." Liam nodded at him, taking his hand and urging him to continue "Look I - I don't." he paused, trying again "Even before the Dread Doctors, I didn't have a great life." he started "My heart was failing, I had asthma, on top of that; a multitude of mental health issues." he took another breath, heart pounding in his chest.
