As Jace and I walked back through the corridors hand in hand. "Sorry I forgot about the sprinkler system." Jace said and we both laughed "Forgot about that." he turned and moved the hair off of my shoulder and smiled as we got to the door of my room. "Are you going to sleep?" he asked, "Are you tired?" I questioned, "I've never been so awake." he said, huskily. Jace then put his hand on my cheek and passionately kissed me until the door suddenly opened and we detached lips. The door opened to reveal Simon. "Simon! I thought you were--" I gasped "Asleep?" he asked, "Yeah, I was." he said, "We were just uh--" I began and looked at Jace "Next time it might be a nice idea to mention that you already have a man in your bed so we can avoid such uncomfortable situations." Jace said, "You invited him to bed?" Simon asked, sounding disgusted "I know it's ridiculous isn't it, we would've never have all fit." Jace looked down at me "I didn't invite him into bed. We were just kissing." I looked at Simon then at Jace.
"How swiftly you dismiss our love." Jace said before walking away "Jace I--" I stopped talking and turned to look at Simon, clearly agitated. "Simon it's late and I'm sorry we woke you." I said, "So am I." he scoffed and went into the room, leaving the door open. I looked back to Jace and he began speaking. "Go ahead, go after him. Go apologize and tell him how special he really is." Jace spoke as he moved his arms to certain words to express his anger "Stop acting like that!" I yelled "Like what?" he asked, "Like nothing ever hurts you!" I shouted, "Well maybe you should've thought of that before you kissed me." he spoke and I raised my eyebrows "I kissed you?" I scoffed and he bit his lip before speaking. "Don't worry, it wasn't that special to me either." he turned around and walked away while I remained standing in front of my room with my heart shattered.
I walked into the room where Simon was and put the rock in my pocket "I am really sorry Simon but weren't you just--" I spoke before being cut off. Again. I can never speak a full sentence. "I was just looking for you." he scoffed while putting on his shoes "Where the hell are you going?" I asked, "Home." he put his arms up "It's clear I've overstayed my welcome." he went back to putting on his shoes "Look, I'm sorry, okay? It wasn't like it was planned!" I raised my voice. "Let me guess, it just happened? Please." he rolled his eyes and put on his jacket. "I know you don't like him but--" again getting cut off "Actually, I hate the guy." Simon said, "Why?!" I yelled, "I thought you were better than that!" Simon yelled back "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!" I walked up to him, "I'm the one that's always been there for you! Not him!" Simon yelled and my expression faded and Simon tried to get words out but he couldn't.
"I'm in love with you!" Simon said, his voice and breathing shaking. I looked away from him as he spoke. "And it's clear you don't feel the same way." Simon spoke. "Just--"
"Don't." Simon stopped me "There's nothing to say." Simon spoke as I looked at him as he picked up my sketchbook, and open on the drawing of Jace. "And Courtney? He's only using you to get the cup." he shoved the book into my chest and walked away. I just watched as he left, I couldn't say anything. I looked at the drawing and saw that Simon drew stupid things all over his face. I sighed and threw the book to the floor after slamming the door. I then went to the library after making a cup of coffee, to study. I took the notebook from the floor and began drawing the symbols I saw in the book. I put the notebook down, took a sip of coffee, and flipped another page. I went to grab the cup but it turned into a drawing in the sketchbook, I couldn't pick it up. I knelt down a little to look at it from a different angle and it was in the book.
I waved my hand in the air over the picture and nothing. I then reached my hand into the paper and pulled out the coffee cup. "Your mother was the only other person who could do that." Hodge spoke, "But I've never been able to do this before." I said while staring at the cup in my hands. "Not only was the block repressing your memories but your abilities as well." Hotch walked down the stairs and I put down the cup. I took the sketchbook and ran up the stairs, heading to Jace's room. I knocked on the door, sighed, then banged on the door. The door opened to reveal a shirtless Jace staring down at me "Jace I--" I held up the book "No, don't tell me. You have a drawing emergency and need a nude model. I'm not in the mood." he began to close the door but I stopped it "LISTEN!" I yelled and he opened the door. "I knew where my mom hid the cup." I told him before walking away.
That morning we all went back to my house and we ran into someone I knew. "Wow, Courtney. You look different." he said, "Yeah." I replied, "I like the clothes." he said, "It's just something I borrowed. I can't talk right now." I said before walking past him. I walked into the house where Isabelle and Alec walked upstairs and Jace and I stayed downstairs. I knocked on Dorothea's door hoping for a response. When I raised my hand to knock on the door it opened. "Courtney." Dorothea said, "I need the tarot cards." I told her. "I need them, you know the ones my mom painted? I just need to look at them really quickly and then I'll give them back, I promise." I explained to her then she looked at Jace. "Those can't come in here." she looked at his weapons.
