"God, this isn't happening." I whispered while staring at the blonde man when Simon began to turn around too. "What?!" he turned back around and I began slinking down on the couch "Okay, now you're freaking me out." Simon chuckled. "This isn't happening." I repeated. I then looked back out the window and the man was gone. I put my head on Simon's arm as a tear fell from my eye out of fear "Courtney, are--" Simon stopped speaking and chuckled as he looked at me. I looked in front of me and saw the blonde man with his head turned to look at me but walking a different way until he stopped and stood in front of me. I gasped and Simon looked at my face to see where I was looking. "What are you looking at?" Simon raised his voice and I sprung up off of the couch. "Wait here." I told him as I walked away toward the man after grabbing a paper from the table and shoving it into my pocket. I ran out of the building into the alley. "Why can I see you and nobody else can?!" I asked with anger in my voice "I was going to ask you the same question." the blonde spoke with a thick English accent. He walked down the steps and walked toward me. "I don't even know why I'm talking to you. You're a killer. A cold-blooded killer." I said, "Opposed to a peace-loving killer?" the man walked closer to me "I know what I saw." I shook my head "You think...you know." he stuck his arm out at me, pointing. I grabbed his wrist and saw a tattoo. A tattoo of the same symbol that seems as if it has cursed me.

I pulled out the crinkled paper and held it up "Why am I drawing this?!" I pointed to the symbol as the man stared at me for a moment before snatching the paper from my hand and walking slowly. "So." he began "I was right, you're not a mundane." he said while examining the symbol on the paper "Excuse me? What the hell is a mundane?" I asked while walking closer to him "Something from the human world." he said while turning to face me. "Oh yeah." I rolled my eyes "Well if I'm not a human, then what am I?" I threw my arms up in confusion and anger. We looked at each other until my phone began ringing. I looked down at my phone in my pocket for a second and when I looked back up the man was holding up the paper. "When did this start?" he asked calmly, "No, no, no! Why am I drawing this?!" I shouted as I snatched the paper from his hands and held it up in his face. "Answer me!" I shouted and then looked over at two men who were standing at a car staring at me probably thinking I was psychotic as my phone kept ringing.

"Maybe you should answer that. Could be your boyfriend." the blonde said as he began walking in the opposite direction "It's not my boyfriend." I sighed and shook my head "Do you know that?" he asked, "Please. It's annoying." he said, regarding the constant ringing. He stopped walking as I sighed and took my phone from my pocket and accepted the call. "Mom, I'm coming home!" I said, annoyed "No, no, no. Do not come home. Do you understand me? You don't come home. Call Luke and tell him that Valentine's alive and he found me." she was cut off by a door being banged on or bursting open. "I love you." she said as I gasped "MOM!" I shouted over the phone. I could hear her struggling over the line "MOM!" I screamed and hung up the phone before running home. I continuously tried calling her but she didn't answer "Shit!" I exclaimed before putting my phone in my pocket and continuing to run. I looked away for a second and screamed as I collided with a cyclist. "I'm so sorry, are you okay?" I asked and when he nodded I got up and ran across the busy street to find my mom.

As I was running a car stopped but slid into my leg and I yelled as I put my hands on the hood to stop it and start running again. I got tangled in a group of people in the middle of the sidewalk so I shoved my way through them. I ran through the now empty street and down the alley until I reached the open house. My eyes filled with tears and my chest became heavy as I saw the destroyed room "Mom?!" I yelled. I looked around in horror. "Mom?" I asked as I peered around the corner and into the kitchen. I looked into the living room where the broken down door lay and in the middle of the room stood a dog. A rottweiler to be specific. The dog started barking and then charged at me. I began sprinting away as I yelped in fear. I rounded the corner to the bathroom and hid for a second so that as soon as the dog ran in, I bolted out and closed the door even though two of the panels were broken in. The dog continued barking and suddenly its eyes turned white and it jumped off the door, still barking but now shaking its head all over the place.

I watched in terror as this dog's head started splitting down the middle and growing hands. I quickly darted out of my room and ran to the phone. i clicked the buttons but nothing was working and that's when I reached behind the phone and picked up the torn wire. I stood still as I heard thudding in the other room. When I turned around I saw this bloody monster fly onto my bed. I screamed and ran against the counter as the monster crawled out of my room. I quickly got down and grabbed some fuel and lighter fluid from under the sink and put them over the stove burners as the hound of hell crawled the other counter. I then grabbed a lighter from the drawer and hid in the pantry while screaming as the monster grabbed my hair and kept trying to pry me out. I saw a puddle of fuel so I quickly took the lighter and lit the puddle and heard a whine before a huge explosion was heard in my kitchen.
