I paced around the room and couldn't believe what I was looking at. For the first ten minutes I wasn't able to touch it because I didn't want to believe it was true.

Eventually, I took in a deep breath and picked the dress up. It was the dress I wore when I left my home the first time ever. I remembered it perfectly because it was my mother's dress.

All the stains were still in the same spot even after all these years. I had gotten rid of this dress ages ago. I had thrown in a dumpster on a random street when I was alone so how did this exact dress get to Aryan's place.

I threw this dress away before I started working at the cafe and had met my previous landlord so the only person who I could think about was Avi. Avi and I grew up together in my childhood home.

His mom and mine were roommates that could only afford one apartment. Avi was a sweetheart until one night he decided he wanted to be more than just friends.

That night he had forcefully taken my virginity but that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was my mother didn't care about what he had done to me.

When I told my mom what had happened, in order to ensure we don't lose a roof over our head, she told me these things happen and I have to learn to let go.

That's when I decided I couldn't stay there anymore and I ran away. When I looked at the dress I couldn't help but wonder if Avi had followed me this whole time.

Is he here? I looked around the empty room, suddenly thinking I'm being watched by someone. As if there is someone behind the curtains or in the closet or at the door– "AH!"

I screamed when I saw a figure standing at the doorway. "Woah what happened?" I sighed in relief when I realised it was just Aryan. "Oh nothing" I said as I tried to calm myself.

"You seemed scared did something happen?" He asked. "Yeah I just didn't expect someone to be in my room" I confessed. "Ah yeah sorry about that" He said.

He didn't ask for an invite nor did I give one, he walked in my room and looked around as if this isn't his home. It was only then that I had realised I was only in a towel.

I quickly tried to find something to cover myself with when my eyes fell on the dress. I couldn't let Aryan see that so I quickly closed the box and shoved it away while he was looking at the room.

"What're you looking at?" I asked. "I just never come to these rooms" He told me. "Oh did you need something?" I asked. "I wanted to thank you for taking care of everything for the party" He said. "No problem" I said.

"I was tired the other night" He walked over to me. "I'm not tonight" He stopped right in front of me. He was so close I could smell his cologne and I'm sure he could hear my rapid heartbeat.

"You seem ready for me" He looked down and bit his lip. "How do you want to do this?" I asked. Previously, no one had ever given me a choice but Aryan had and I have so much respect for that.

Aryan leaned down and placed his lips on mine and took me in for a deep kiss. I wasn't expecting this. I thought like my previous boss he would just take what he wants but he he proved me wrong.

He was taking his time and exploring every inch of my mouth sensually which made me melt into his arms. He pulled us apart from the kiss and flashed me a soft smile.

"Come lay down with me" He said. We both got under my covers and he brought me close to him. I had a completely different idea of what he wanted from me.

"I just need you to cuddle with me while we sleep" He whispered in my ear. "And kiss me every now and then" He held onto me tighter.

"Why–" "Without any questions" He interrupted me before I could ask any him the reason behind his request.

I wondered why Aryan was so desperate to have someone in his bed when he could have anyone he liked. I couldn't help but think how was he tired for this last night but I let it go, knowing I wouldn't get any answers.

His soft breathing behind me soothed my own and I shut my eyes. His grip on me was strong but not hurtful. It was just enough to keep me steady. I could feel his chest moving against my back every time he breaths.

In that moment I knew why he wanted this. He just needed some love. Little did he know that despite being taught his whole life that you can get everything from contracts, love is the one thing you can't squeeze into a small contract.
