Madelyn was walking to the door with a tea in her hand when she heard Lincoln.
"You're leaving again"
"Yeah" Madelyn turned around and Lincoln looked at her with a petrified face
"You're hurt" he walked up to her and touched her face slightly
"Yeah, a bad day at work" he didn't move
"Why didn't you use your gift?"
"I don't use it anymore, you know that"
"But you were hurting"
"I have control Lincoln, really good one, I'll see you later"
She walked out of the apartment. Got to the stairs and like clockwork a familiar door opened.
"Morning baby"
"Hi" Adeline looked at Caleb as he picked up his newspaper
"What the hell happened to you? you look like hell"
"You surely know your way to a woman's heart"
"I'm serious"
"He's in jail, and a serial killer"
"Good, good luck"
"See You, say-"
"Hi to Jackie from you I know"
When Madelyn got to the office and started doing paperwork. After about half an hour Hotch came out of his office and asked everyone to the briefing room.
"We have a case, Miami"
After Garcia presented the case they were all on their way to the plane because the unsub stuck to his plan the next victim would turn up in a day. Morgan offered to drive Madelyn to the plane as she still couldn't. Once they were on the plane they went through the case again.
"The unsubs killing man, physically fit man," Emily remarked
"He's fitter?" Penelope asked "not my job" with that he hung up
"Pen's right, he has to be extremely fit to subdue this man, I mean the last victim went to the gym 5 times a week" Madelyn commented
After a day of working the team was ready to give a profile. Madelyn and Emily were waiting for the others to get back, Reid and Rossi in the forensics office, and Hotch, JJ, and Derek in the latest victim's home.
"Garcia told me you have a boyfriend" Madelyn sighed in response and Emily continued "and that you were in denial about it, so I was just wondering about Reid"
"Spencer?"
"Come on, I'm tired of pretending not to see what's there I'm sure you are too"
"I'm not because there isn't"
"Come on Moon"
"There isn't"
"Everyone can see that your in love with him since you got into the team and his in love with you"
"I am-we are not in love"
"Are you sure? Because Reid, doctor Spencer Reid who is desperately in love with you thinks you are in a relationship and he is heartbroken"
"He is not"
"I thought you were a better profiler"
With that Hotch and the rest came in but Madelyn just looked at Spencer. Who, even though Madelyn hated to admit it, looked heartbroken. His tie was loosened, had even bigger eye bags and when he looked at Madelyn's eyes he quickly looked away.
"Let's give out the profile," Hotch said
As the officers gathered Madelyn walked past Reid who hadn't moved. As she passed by Reid followed her with his eyes and then snapped back to reality and walked towards the rest.
"The unsub is a woman between the ages of 20-25, she is attractive and has large social skills" Hotch started
"She's not someone you would suspect, and you probably haven't talked to her before" Morgan continued
"She flirts with the man he conducts and that is how she is able to take them, she promises sex and they let their guard down," Madelyn remarked
"She probably doesn't have a criminal history but she was probably abused physically or mentally by a man in her life and these men remind her of him" Emily stated
"Look for domestic calls about 15 to 20 years ago, thank you" Rossi almost ordered
The team was looking at the suspect through the glass as she calmly stared back, not actually seeing them. As they all try to figure him out she just stared, Madelyn was a bit creeped out by that, if she was in her place she would be going insane.
"I think she has waited long enough, Reid and Madelyn, stick to the plan"
As the pair walked into the interrogation room the woman looked at them.
"Hi, I'm Reid, Dr. Spencer Reid," he said acting uncomfortable "this is special agent Madelyn Moon"
"That's a pretty last name"
"Thank you" Madelyn sat in front of the girl as Reid did the same "Jessica, you killed 7 men, that we know of"
"I didn't" Jessica Olsen knew that they only had a profile, no murder weapon, no DNA, just the profile and her walking in the house the latest victim was found
"We know you killed them, Jessica," Reid said softly and she just ignored him
"Why?" Madelyn asked with no hopes of an answer
"I didn't"
"If you tell us we can make a deal and shorten your-" Derek opened the door interrupting her
"Out Reid" Derek ordered and Reid followed
"You need to talk," Derek said sitting next to Madelyn and her expression changed, she looked uncomfortable and removed her hands from the table and put them on her lap
"I didn't do anything"
"Why were you in that warehouse? Where we found the body" Derek asked with authority but Jessica just stared at Madelyn
"... let us help you," Madelyn said softly while Morgan looked at her slightly turning his head. Then he grabbed her hand and Madelyn's expression changed from affectionate to terrified
"You should let that happen," Jessica said
"What?" Derek asked madly
"You shouldn't sand by him, he's sick and disgusting, just like all men, all of them, they all deserved it" Jessica snapped
"the man you killed? they deserved it?" Morgan finally showed his true self letting go of Madelyn's hand and they both exited the room to find the rest of the team.
"Good job," Hotch said before walking into the interrogation
