11: Ask

When the team got back to Quantico they all noticed the familiar woman sitting on Madelyn's desk looking at a file. As they looked at her in shock she noticed them and walked towards them.

"I said we should have just gotten into our cars," Rossi said

"Hello," Analise said and her sight made Madelyn feel sick but her voice was the worst

"Good Morning" Hotch answered "over here," they said pointing her towards his office as they both walked away

"I don't like this" Emily remarked

"Better not be to catch those aliens again, can't handle more superpowers," Rossi said making Madelyn sick

"It must be" Reid commented

"It is" Gregory appeared from behind handing each of them a case file

"Still Campbell?" Madelyn asked

"Haven't found him yet but you gave us the most piece of information we've found" Gregory informed and Madelyn was glad as they were only on the top of the iceberg.

Soon they were all in the briefing room with both ATCU members. Analise Williams was waiting for the last team members to sit before she started talking. Gregory Wilson was looking at Madelyn, he never liked her, it was just something about her that unsettled him. After Rossi sat Analise started.

"Your profile was of great help" flattering, everyone knew where she was going

"And we were able to track him down to a 5-mile radius" a map spears on the screen with a red circle in a part of the city and inside it, Madelyn recognized her street. Her building, Her apartment. The place Lincoln was in right now probably stressed eating.

"He was seen in a video tape 9 days ago but he has never been seen again so the woman that is hiding him lives around this area, we need you to find her, we already have people covering this area" Analise signaled to most of the circle "we need you to look in the other part and profile this woman, then find out where she lives, Gregory will stay here again"

"Thank you," Hotch said and she exited the room and Strauss met her outside the room

"Emily and Morgan you cover the west side, Rossi south, Reid and Madelyn east, Gregory and I will go north"

When Madelyn and Spencer were in the car she was taking glances at Spencer while she drove. While Spencer didn't really notice as he was really focused on the case.

"Spencer?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm not dating anyone"

"Okay?"

"What JJ and Pen said, it's not true"

"Oh"

"Yeah"

At this moment both of them were thinking the same thing.

"So, um, after all of this, do you ever want to get coffee, tea, or... something like that? Without the others, just the two of us, not with the team" Spencer said really REALLY nervous

"I would like that" Madelyn said smiling

Spencer smiled to himself and looked back at the file and Madelyn's smile started to fade. She could only think that the only way this was ending was with her under a microscope and with the team looking at her through it.

"Hey isn't this the way to your house?"

"Oh yeah," Madelyn said as if she hadn't noticed

"Well given the large of the city and the radius is given so close to the office there were chances of one of us living in it were 7/10"

"Where are we going?"

"East"

"No" she laughed "for our date" she didn't want to talk about the case, not right now

"Right our date" Spencer smiled once again "do you want somewhere specific?"

"There's a really good coffee shop in the main"

"Then that's where we'll go" Madelyn smiled at him and they parked the car.

After going building by building with a picture of Lincoln they still had like half the territory they had to cover and only an hour to do it.

"We should split up" Madelyn suggested for the hundredth time

"Told you we can't, it's against protocol"

"Rossi's alone, and we still have a lot to go through"

"Okay, I'll tell Hotch"

"Okay, I'll go this way and we meet back in the office"

"Yeah, see you" he smiled, and Madelyn and she was about to walk away when she turned to face him one again

"Thank you"

"For what?"

"Everything, for these two awfully amazing two years"

"Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah, just nothing, ignore I said anything" Madelyn smiled and walked away from Spencer with a tear running down her face because she knew what she had to do.
