A/N: this might end up being a short story, I liked where it was going. If you're interested in more let me know and leave a vote. Vampire Kate  yes? No?

The death was settling in her bones, Kate knew. She lay there on the dirty concrete of the metro station. She knew she had been a bit wreckless, staying out drinking with her friends and then stupidly thought taking the tube this late would be fine. She was naive to just how famous she had become just by the movie trailers for titanic. The films release was still 3 months away. That didn't stop the attack. She wasn't sure what came first, the knife in the stomach  repeatedly or the hits to the face. They grabbed her messenger bag and began to run off but just out of Kate's blurred view and through her own gurgled bloody gasps, she could hear them screaming, bones snapping and then their bodies thrown down into Kate's view once again.

"You're not gonna die." A deep feminine voice spoke from above Kate. Yes I am. Kate thought to herself. There was no coming back from this. She couldn't even breathe anymore. She couldn't even try to fight as the unknown woman turned Kate's limp body and sank her teeth down into Kate's neck releasing the poison that would ultimately save her. Before the vampire pulled away, she gave Kate a message telepathically.
"I've come too far, I promised your parents, I stayed too far back and...I didn't expect this. Those guys came out of nowhere. You might hate me for this, but I must keep my word. I would rather you hate me for eternity than for me to spend an eternity in a world without you. I've loved you from afar for this long, I can handle forever. I'm sorry for the pain you will endure for the next 72 hours. I can help you if you just let me."

Kate felt the hand of death ease up, it didn't go away, but it felt as though she was stuck there right between her last inhale and exhale. Time felt frozen. The vampire removed her fangs and proceeded to lift  a seemingly lifeless Kate and one of the dead guys kate could feed on later and vanished into thin air.

Kate drifted in and out of consciousness as a mild unpleasant tingling took over her body. She couldn't make sense of anything right now, but she could focus on a few things. 1. This woman, a vampire and a stranger is in love with her and has been for awhile and 2. Her parents knew this woman, and has obviously kept some secrets from Kate.
