𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐖𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐑𝐃 Tournament quickly became the main gossip in the halls of Hogwarts again, as the week of the Halloween feast was promptly approaching. Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students would soon be wandering the grounds of Hogwarts, striving to put their names in the goblet of fire so they could possibly get selected as champion for their respective schools.

While the Ministry of Magic promised to implement safety restrictions so nobody would get put in harm's way, Serena's thoughts were still plagued with uncertainty over it, even more so when she found a book in the library about the history of the tournament. Her eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when she read how many casualties the last one had. All she could do was just hope and pray that the ministry knows what they're doing.

An entire month has passed since Serena and Malfoy's ordeal about his illusive love life, and nothing has changed between them at all. The two students still argue nearly every time they see each other around the corridors— always initiated by Malfoy's crude words and stupid cowardly lion insult of course, but that's all that's really happened over the course of the past few weeks. Just their habitual bickering behaviours.

Classes were still just as strenuous as they'd been at the start of the school year, but Serena has relievedly adapted to the taxing demands of her professors, making it less of a mental strain to find the time to complete her assignments. Serena is very proud to disclose that the only detention she's acquired so far this year was the one on that weekend with Professor Vector, and shockingly, the only task the strict witch gave Serena was to help clean the desks in her classroom. After only about 45 minutes, Serena was permitted to leave and enjoy the rest of her free day.

So far, on every weekend past curfew, Serena and Flynn continued their tradition of sneaking out to the quidditch pitch or messing about in the kitchens, enjoying each other's company and deep talks as per usual.

Quidditch practices have also commenced— to which Serena couldn't say she was all that elated about, missing her extra time with Ginny more than ever recently. She personally didn't understand what the point of even practicing was, bearing in mind that there were no games this year. Albeit, she felt like if she were to ever declare that viewpoint out loud to her older brother, he'd take immediate offense to it.

Oliver would certainly make sure to inform her that despite the lack of actual games this year, practices were most definitely still needed because players must focus on improving for next year and blah blah blah. She'd usually tune Oliver out after thirty seconds of his rambling.

While Ginny hasn't officially been made a member of the Gryffindor team yet, she's been repeatedly practicing her chaser skills with them, hoping that if she proves that she's talented enough, Angelina Johnson would just let her have a spot without even having to try out for it next year.

"Psst, Serena,"

Serena's train of thought was interrupted by Harry Potter— her assigned Potions partner, and she furrowed her eyebrows once she looked up from her textbook, curiously peering over at him. Naturally, she had been daydreaming in Professor Snape's class, growing bored of the assigned reading he instructed them to do. Serena only half-skimmed the section of the textbook because she already memorised the ingredients of the mixture it was informing her about.

"Yes, Harry?" She whispered back, making sure Professor Snape wasn't watching before sending the brunet boy a timid smile.

"I'm bored," He whispered with a grin that made his glasses move up his nose.
