BILLIE
i was currently sitting at a meeting table in uncomfortable heels. my song got a couple thousand streams in a short amount of time and a small record label called darkroom reached out to us. finneas had to do a lot of convincing to get me to actually go to the meeting.he told me that chances are, i can still live my normal life and go to college and blah blah. so here i was, uncomfortable as ever, just wanting to be at home with my girlfriend and her dog. yeah, she got a dog.
flashback
madison came to my house to pick me up and bring me on a date. as soon as i stepped out of my apartment, she jumped out of the car. "someone's eager to see me." i chuckled"i got something!" madison told me, gesturing to her car.
"baby, you already had that."
"no, not that." she pointed at what seemed to be a box covered with a little blanket. i cocked a brow and she smiled. "guess what it is!"
"um... i'm genuinely clueless. a new microwave?"
"microwave? girl..." she opened up the back door and took the blanket off what i thought was a box, revealing a tiny little fluffy puppy. "i adopted a fur baby!"
"oh my god!" i squealed. she took the cage out of the car and i jutted out my bottom lip as i looked at the little golden retriever. "what's his name?"
"her. she's a little girl. she's named blue but i don't like that name so i'm gonna change it."
"she's so tiny." i pouted. "can i hold her? i'll do it in the car so i don't drop her."
"yeah, leelee. you can hold him." she chuckled.
i got into the passenger seat and put on my seatbelt. i held out my arms and madison put the tiny baby in my arms. i was in awe of the cute puppy. "what a cutie. she's like a little button. so tiny."
"what should i name her?"
"button is cute!" i told madi. it suits her and everything
"billie... she won't be tiny forever."
"come on madi, button is adorable and it suits her!" i pleaded.
madison sighed with a smile. "button it is, then."
end of flashback"we would like to sign you, billie, at darkroom, part of interscope records." a man, who i hadn't cared to learn the name of, told me.
i raised a brow. "y'all like me that much?"
"you're extremely talented, we could tell by the songs your brother, finneas showed us. you are an ideal candidate for darkroom and we would be honoured to have you part of our team." a different guy told me.
i thought about it. i could meet justin bieber... "sure! why not?"
"great. we're gonna have you sign a three year, two-album contract. is that okay with you, ms. eilish?"
"oh, it's o'connell."
"right."
"that's good." i told him. that's a load of shit. what're they gonna do, force me to make music?
***
i facetimed tanya when i got out. sorry madi, priorities. "girl." i said as soon as she locked up. "i just got signed as a motherfucking music artist!"
"no way." she muttered. "no way, bil! really? you serious? oh my god, you're gonna be huge! everyone's gonna be listening to your shit!" she told me. i laughed.
"nah, babe. that's reaching. it's cool, though!"
"i'm SERIOUS, billie! people will go crazy when they hear how talented you are! you better take me to your concerts and stuff, bitch, 'cause you're gonna be performing really fucking soon!"
i told madison as soon as i was finished on the phone with tanya and she told me pretty much the same thing. i was gonna be popular and performing real soon after signing. one thing i didn't expect is that they ended up being right.
{a/n: short ass chapter my bad i just really wanted to update y'all!}
