Aftereffects

Rescued

My heart races as I think of what the FBI will do to me.
I try to pull away but the grip around my wrist is too firm. I took a breath as I'm pulled  up. Once I saw them I'd  throw a punch and run.
"Hey not that I'm complaining about the view but I'd like to get out before they find us yeah?" I jumped looking down to see the man that saved me was back and realizing what his view was. I pull myself up more as I'm pulled out the rest of the way. I look up to see a hooded man he says nothing then we hear a noise behind me
" Ok mission complete" I look back at nothing it was the agent that had kept his head down
" Now that we got her we have to get her to safety" I look at him puzzled
" What do you mean safety and who are you ?" He chuckled
" We will tell you once we're out of here" I glared
" For now you can call me A and that's Charon". A says gesturing towards the man that had pulled me up
" Like the Greek god?"
A nods
" Smart and gorgeous a deadly combination" he then gently grabs my arm
" Now we run some more "

As we ran to a car I felt my heart thump
I didn't know these men but they expected me to get into a car with them. If my family taught me anything it was never get in a stranger's car. I paused as everyone got in the one called A stopped
" It's okay we aren't here to hurt you in anyway it's quite the opposite" I look around
" Listen if you want to go then go we won't stop you" A says leaning against the car
" But once you leave we can no longer protect you from the FBI or the  police" I chew on the inside of my mouth he then nods
" Would it make you trust me if I said we know you helped someone escape from the government?" I look him in the eyes
" Are you guys?"
A nods
" Yes we are" I frown
" So why are you helping me I thought hackers stuck to themselves" A shrugs
" Some do and some don't" he chuckles
" Your hacker is the best of the best and like most he stays to himself" I feel the heavy ache in my heart it seemed no one knew much about Jake not even other hackers
" Hey you okay?' I look up
" Yeah" A nods
" I know this is a lot to process" I nod
" A we need to get moving now" A nods at Charon
" Alright I'll see you at the safe house" Charon stares at A
" Very well but make sure she knows" A nods
" Got it"
Then Charon drives away.
" How are we getting out of here now?" I ask and A points to the motorcycle
" Ever been on one?" I shake my head
" Good, I'll be your first ride".

As A drives he began filling me in on how he and a few other hackers stayed together and did what they did. Telling me how the government had been tracking me and that they knew that I had helped find a missing woman and had been in contact with Jake all due to them hacking into the government.
" So once we saw that they had you we knew we'd have to get you out of there" A admits
" Was this because they saw the pictures for # I am Jake?"  He nods 
" Did they know it was me in the picture?" He shakes his head
" No but they had a feeling and when they interviewed the cop they knew you had to be one of the people" I frown
" So they brought me in hoping I'd spill everything" another nod
" And I have to hand it to you I was amazed that you didn't even crack once" I smile slightly
" What would have happened if I did?" A goes quiet then sighs
" I think you know" I feel my heart skip knowing that today could have been my last.
" So what now?" A stops at a red light
" Now you disappear".
